WHEREAS, pursuant to section 12 of the New Zealand Geographic Board Act 1946, notice was given on the 1st day of May 1975 of the intention of the New Zealand Geographic Board to assign a place name.
And whereas, pursuant to section 13 of the said Act, objections to the proposed name were considered by the Board and a report submitted to the Minister of Lands thereon:
And whereas, after considering the Board's report herein, the Minister of Lands has given his final decision as set out in the Second Schedule hereto:
Now, therefore pursuant to section 15 of the said Act, notice is hereby given that, on and after the 15th day of October 1976 there shall be assigned the name set out in the Second Schedule hereto.
