PURSUANT to section 330A of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby amends the Order in Council, dated the 9th day of August 1976, and published in New Zealand Gazette, No. 90, 12 August 1976, at page 1866, consenting to land being taken for works, appliances, and conveniences necessary, directly or indirectly, for the generation of electricity in the Borough of Cromwell, pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, by omitting from the Schedule thereto the land sixthly described; and hereby further amends the Schedule thereto by omitting the land eighteenthly described and substituting therefor the land firstly and secondly described in the Schedule hereto; and hereby further amends the Schedule thereto by omitting the words "Section 2" in the land twenty-fourthly described and substituting therefor the words "part Section 3"; and hereby further amends the Schedule thereto by omitting the word "Part" in the land twenty-ninthly described.

Appointments, Promotions, Extensions, Transfers, Resignations, and Retirements of Officers of the Royal New Zealand Navy
PURSUANT to section 35 of the Defence Act 1971, His Excellency the Governor-General has approved the following appointments, promotions, extensions, transfers, resignations, and retirements of officers of the New Zealand Naval Forces.
ROYAL NEW ZEALAND NAVY
The appointment of Lieutenant Commander K. N. Cameron is extended to 6 March 1982.
The appointment of Instructor Lieutenant Commander D. P. Fairfax, M.A., DIP.TCHG., is extended to 5 January 1985.
Lieutenant Commander William Hancock, C.ENG., M.I.MAR.E., is transferred to the Reserve of Naval Officers until 3 October 1983, with effect from 2 September 1976.
Lieutenant Commander Errol Robert Eldon Sawyers is placed on the Retired List, with effect from 8 September 1976.
Lieutenant (acting Lieutenant Commander) G. J. Power to be Lieutenant Commander with seniority and effect from 28 June 1976.
Lieutenant D. T. Watson to be Lieutenant Commander, with seniority and effect from 1 September 1976.
