The Traffic (Taupo County) Notice No. 1, 1976

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Taupo County) Notice No. 1, 1976.

2. The roads specified in the First Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

3. The roads specified in the Second Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, to the intent that a person driving any motor vehicle thereon at any time during the period commencing with the 20th day of December in the next ensuing year and ending with the 10th day of February in the next ensuing year and the period commencing with the Thursday preceding Easter and ending with the Tuesday following Easter each year shall be subject to the maximum speed limit of 50 kilometres an hour fixed by the said section.

4. The roads specified in the Third Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be 70-kilometres-an-hour speed limit areas for the purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.

5. The Traffic (Taupo County) Notice No. 3, 1969, dated the 10th day of November 1969† and the Traffic (Taupo County) Notice No. 1, 1970, dated the 22nd day of December 1969‡, and the Traffic (Taupo County) Notice No. 1, 1971, dated the 8th day of December 1971§, under regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956*, and the Traffic (Taupo County) Notice No. 3, 1970, dated the 6th day of August 1970∥ under section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, which relate to roads situated within Taupo County are hereby revoked.

No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff): from a point 160 metres measured south-westerly generally along the said State highway from Oruatau Avenue to Macs Road.

SITUATED within Taupo County at Waitahanui:
No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff): from a point 320 metres measured southerly generally along the said State highway from Northcroft Road to a point 1770 metres measured northerly generally along the said State highway from Northcroft Road.

The Traffic (Whakatane County) Notice No. 1, 1976

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Whakatane County) Notice No. 1, 1976.

2. This notice shall come into force on the date of the union of the Whakatane County and the Whakatane Borough into one district pursuant to a proposal in a final scheme within the meaning of section 2 of the Local Government Act 1974.

3. The roads and area specified in the First Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

4. The road specified in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a 70-kilometres-an-hour speed limit area for the purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.

5. The Traffic (Whakatane Borough) Notice No. 2, 1975, dated the 30th day of May 1975† and the Traffic (Whakatane County) Notice No. 1, 1975, dated the 26th day of August 1975‡ under section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, and regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956* which relate to roads situated within Whakatane Borough and the area and roads within Whakatane County are hereby revoked.
