State Forest Land Set Apart as State Forest Park

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 63A (1) (a) of the Forests Act 1949,
I, Sir Edward Denis Blundell, the Governor-General of New
Zealand, hereby set apart the State forest land described in
the First Schedule hereto and further described in the Second
Schedule hereto as a State forest park, to be known as
Kaimai-Mamaku State Forest Park.

FIRST SCHEDULE

SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT—AUCKLAND AND ROTORUA
CONSERVANCIES—OHINEMURI, TAURANGA, PIAKO, AND MATA-
MATA COUNTIES

FIRSTLY, all that area of land in the South Auckland Land
District, Counties of Ohinemuri, Tauranga, and Piako and
Te Aroha Borough situated in Aroha, Katikati, Wairere, and
Aongatete Survey Districts, containing 20793.8448 hectares,
more or less, bounded by a line commencing at the southern-
most corner of Section 10, Block I, Aroha Survey District,
and proceeding generally north-easterly along the north-eastern
boundary of Section 10, Block I, aforesaid, to and along the
southern side of a public road and across a public road;
thence south-easterly along a public road to its intersection
with the left bank of the Ohinemuri River; thence south-
easterly generally along the left bank of the Ohinemuri River
and the Waitawheta Stream in Blocks I and II, Aroha Survey
District, to a public road in Block II, Aroha Survey District;
thence across that public road, to and along the western
and southern boundary of Section 19, Block II, Aroha Survey
District, and its production to the left bank of the Waitawheta
Stream aforesaid; thence by the left bank of that stream
to its intersection with the production of the western boundary
of Section 54, Block II, aforesaid; thence to and along the
western boundaries of Sections 54 and 78, Block II, aforesaid,
to a public road in Block VI, Aroha Survey District; thence
along the western side of that public road to a point in line
with the western boundary of Section 10, Block VI, Aroha
Survey District; thence across that road to and along the
western and southern boundaries of Section 10, Block VI,
aforesaid, to a public road in Block VI aforesaid; thence
southerly along the western side of that public road, to
a point due west of the intersection of the left bank of
Bluff Creek with the right bank of the Waitawheta Stream
in Block VI aforesaid; thence due easterly across that public
road and the Waitawheta Stream to and along the left
bank of Bluff Creek, to a point in line with the eastern
boundary of Mangawhio Tapu Block in Block VI aforesaid;
thence northerly by a right line across Bluff Creek to and
along the eastern boundary of Mangawhio Tapu Block afore-
said, to and along the right bank of the Waitawheta Stream
to its intersection with the southern boundary of Ngati-
tamatera B1 Block in Block VI aforesaid; thence north-easterly
along the southern and eastern boundaries of the Ngatitamatera
B1 and B2 Blocks in Blocks VI and VII, Aroha Survey
District, to a public road in Block VII aforesaid; thence
easterly along the southern side of that road to a point in
line with the eastern boundary of Section 38, Block III,
Aroha Survey District; thence north-westerly across that
public road, to and along the eastern boundary of Section
38, Block III, aforesaid; thence easterly along the southern
boundaries of Sections 35, 34, 3, and 24, Block III, afore-
said, to a public road in Block III aforesaid; thence easterly
by a right line across that public road to and along the
southern side of that public road to the western boundary

to and across a public road, to and along the western bound-
ary of Lot 3, D.P. 29323, in Block VIII aforesaid, across
a public road to its southern side; thence easterly along that
public road in Block VIII aforesaid to and along the western
boundary of Section 89 and Section 60, Block VIII, aforesaid,
to the northern side of Reas Road in Block VIII aforesaid;
thence generally westerly along the northern side of Reas
Road to a point in line with the western boundary of Section
88, Block VIII aforesaid; thence across Reas Road to and
along the western boundary of Section 88, Block VIII, afore-
said, to the northern side of Hot Springs Road; thence along
the northern side of Hot Springs Road in Block VIII afore-
said, to the eastern boundary of Section 3, Block I, Aongatete
