The Standards Act 1965--Standard Specifications Proposed for Revocation

NOTICE is hereby given that the New Zealand standard specifications, listed in the Schedule hereto, have been reviewed by committees of the Standards Council and have been recommended for revocation, pursuant to the provisions of the Standards Act 1965.

Any person who may be affected by the proposal to revoke these standard specifications, and who wishes to object to their revocation, is invited to submit comments to the Standards Association of New Zealand, Private Bag, Wellington, not later than 7 November 1975.

NZS 936-51:1951 (AS O 10 to O 45-1948) Grading rules for Jarrah, Karri and Wandoo.

NOTE-The Standards Council proposes to endorse as suitable for use in New Zealand other Australian standards more recently published, which are advertised elsewhere in this issue of the Gazette.

The Standards Act 1965--Overseas Specifications Available for Comment

PURSUANT to subsection (3) of section 23 of the Standards Act 1965, notice is hereby given that the under-mentioned specifications are being considered for declaration as New Zealand standard specifications or for endorsement as suitable for use in New Zealand.

Australian Standard
AS O 83:1963 Sawn South-Eastern Australian Eucalypt hardwoods.
AS 1483:1973 Structural timbers from Western Australian hardwoods. Metric units.

All persons who may be affected by these specifications and who desire to comment thereon may obtain copies from the Standards Association of New Zealand, World Trade Center, 15-23 Sturdee Street (or Private Bag), Wellington, price 50c a copy each (mailed).

The closing date for the receipt of comment is 7 November 1975.

The Standards Act 1965--Draft New Zealand Standard Specifications Available for Comment

PURSUANT to subsection (3) of section 23 of the Standards Act 1965, notice is hereby given that the following draft New Zealand standard specifications are being circulated:

DZ GP 54 Zinc chrome fire retardant priming paint for use on aluminium, aluminium alloys, and steel under marine conditions (GSB 1973/119).
DZ GP 55 Flat latex type paint for use on interior-exterior absorbent surfaces (GSB 1973/125)
DZ GP 56 Undercoat for use with gloss alkyd paint on exterior woodwork (GSB 1973/122)
DZ GP 57 Gloss alkyd paint for finishing coats on exterior woodwork (GSB 1973/121).

All persons who may be affected by these specifications and who may desire to comment thereon may obtain copies from the Standards Association of New Zealand, World Trade Center, 15-23 Sturdee Street (or Private Bag), Wellington, price 50c a copy (mailed).
