Declaring Land Taken for Road in Block XII, Uawa Survey
District, Cook County

Pursuant to section 32 of the Public Works Act 1928, the
Minister of Works and Development hereby declares that,
a sufficient agreement to that effect having been entered into,
the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken
for road from and after the 2nd day of October 1975.

District, Gisborne R.D., described as follows:

Land Proclaimed as Road, Road Closed and Land Taken
in Blocks XII and XVI, Tahoraiti Survey District, Danne-
virke County

Pursuant to section 29 of the Public Works Amendment
Act 1948, the Minister of Works and Development hereby
proclaims as road the land described in the First Schedule
hereto, which land shall vest in the Chairman, Councillors,
and Inhabitants of the County of Dannevirke; and also hereby
proclaims as closed the road described in the Second Schedule
hereto and declares that the closed road firstly and secondly
described in the said Second Schedule shall be dealt with
as Crown land under the Land Act 1948; and also hereby
takes the land described in the Third Schedule hereto for
the purposes of subsection (6) of the said section 29.

metres) situated in Block XII, Tahoraiti Survey District,
Hawke's Bay R.D., and being part Lot 2, D.P. 9554; as
shown coloured blue, edged blue, on plan S.O. 6193 lodged
in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Napier.

Proposed Greenstreet Irrigation District—Notice of the
Charges Payable

Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of
Works and Development hereby gives notice that for the
Proposed Greenstreet Irrigation District the charges payable
shall be as specified in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE
CHARGES AND ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  1. There will be no annual basic charge payable on the
    irrigable land within the scheme boundaries.
  2. The annual water availability charge will be $0.75 per
    irrigable hectare.
  3. There will be no exemptions or reductions during the
    development period.
  4. The water availability charge is based on the estimated
    costs of operation and maintenance of the scheme, the control
    of which will be delegated to the Ashburton County Council.
    The water availability charge will be subject to adjustment
    annually. Individual farmers within the scheme boundaries
    will be responsible for weed control and minor cleaning
    of the water race through their properties. Grazing by sheep
    only will be allowed in the race area.
  5. The object of the scheme is to provide a reliable water
    supply for irrigation of land within the scheme boundaries.
  6. The proposed scheme will be capable of fully irrigating
    2400 hectares of land during most seasons.
  7. A water-use roster for the scheme compatible with the
    system of irrigation for each farm will be implemented and
    administered by the Ashburton County Council.
  8. The water supply will be subject to the conditions of the
    water right granted by the South Canterbury Regional Water
    Board.
  9. The scheme is expected to be fully operational in October
  10. The acceptability of the scheme will be ascertained
    by an inquiry in writing of all the occupiers of land in the
    proposed district and as a prerequisite to its constitution
    as an irrigation district all the occupiers must advise in
    writing their agreement to the irrigation scheme.

Proposed Greenstreet Irrigation District—Notice Declaring a
Proposed Irrigation District, Defining its Boundaries

Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of
Works and Development hereby declares the area of land
the boundaries of which are defined in the Schedule hereto
to be a proposed irrigation district to be known as the
Proposed Greenstreet Irrigation District.
