Plants Declared Noxious Weeds Under the Noxious Weeds
Act 1950 in the County of Whangarei (No. 1220 Ag. 20649A)

PURSUANT to the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries Act
1953 for the purposes of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the
following Special Order, made by the Whangarei County
Council on the 11th day of August 1975 is hereby published.

SPECIAL ORDER
"THAT the Whangarei County Council hereby resolves by
way of Special Order that Alligator weed (Telanthera
philoxeroides
), Manchurian wild rice (Zizania latifolia), and
Waterfern (Salvinia any species) be declared noxious weeds
within the County of Whangarei in accordance with the
Noxious Weeds Act Extension Order 1972."

1953 for the purposes of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950,
the following Special Order, made by the Kairanga County
Council on the 29th day of July 1975, is hereby published.

SPECIAL ORDER
"THAT in pursuance of the powers vested in it by section
3 of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the Council, by way of
Special Order, hereby declares the following to be a noxious
weed within the County of Kairanga:
Johnson grass (Sorghum halepense)."

the following Special Order, made by the Patea County
Council on the 12th day of August 1975 is hereby published.

SPECIAL ORDER
"THAT pursuant to the Noxious Weeds Act 1950 and all other
Acts, powers, and authorities enabling it in that behalf the
Patea County Council hereby resolves by way of Special
Order as follows:
That the plant mentioned in the Schedule hereunder be
declared a noxious weed within the Patea County.

    Evidence Act 1908.

    1974 is hereby amended by omitting the words "New
    Zealand" and substituting the symbol "N.Z.".

Notice Requiring Certain Goods Service Licensees to Join
the Amalgamated Society of Wholesale Bread Contractors
Incorporated

WHEREAS under the Transport Organisation Membership
Regulations 1941 a poll has been conducted on the proposal
that all licensees comprised in the following class-namely,
any person who is the holder of a goods service licence
for the carriage of bread and who has entered into a contract
of service with a manufacturer of bread to cart and deliver
bread for hire or reward-be required to join the Amalgam-
ated Society of Wholesale Bread Contractors Incorporated,
and of 34 votes recorded 32 were in favour of the proposal.
Now therefore, I, Sir Basil Malcolm Arthur, Bart., Minister
of Transport, do hereby declare that every person who is
now or hereafter the holder of a goods service licence under
the Transport Act 1962, and is a person comprised in the
following class-namely, any person who is the holder of
a licence for the carriage of bread and who has entered
into a contract of service with a manufacturer of bread to
cart and deliver bread for hire or reward-if he is not
already a member thereof shall not later than the 1st day
of November 1975, or not later than 14 days after the
grant to him of such licence (as the case may be) join
the Amalgamated Society of Wholesale Bread Contractors
Incorporated.
For the purposes of this notice, membership of an organisa-
tion which is for the time being affiliated to or a member
of that organisation is by the said regulations deemed to
be membership also of that organisation.

The Traffic (Upper Hutt City) Notice No. 1, 1975

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Trans-
port hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Upper Hutt
    City) Notice No. 1, 1975.
  2. All the roads specified in the First Schedule hereto with
    the exception of the roads described in the Second Schedule
    hereto are hereby excluded from the limitation as to speed
    imposed by section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.
  3. The road specified in the Third Schedule hereto is hereby
    declared to be a 70-kilometres-an-hour speed limit area for
    the purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations
    1956*.
  4. The Traffic (Upper Hutt City) Notice No. 2, 1973,
    dated the 7th day of November 1973†, under section 52 of
    the Transport Act 1962 and regulation 27A of the Traffic
    Regulations 1956*, which relates to roads situated within
    Upper Hutt City is hereby revoked.
