district by a race or races constructed or acquired by the
Minister of Works and Development or by any enlargement
or extension thereof; the said works, including all dams, weirs,
reservoirs, tunnels, fluming, siphons, piping, gates, and races
and all other works incidental to or required for the construction,
maintenance, and control of the said works for the
irrigation of the district.

SECOND SCHEDULE

BOUNDARIES OF THE PROPOSED MAEREWHENUA IRRIGATION
DISTRICT

ALL that area in the Otago Land District, Waitaki County,
containing 2200 hectares, more or less, bounded by a line
commencing at the north-western corner of Section 29, Block
IV, Maerewhenua Survey District, and proceeding generally
south-easterly along the generally north-eastern boundaries of
that section and Section 23 to the north-western corner of
Section 14; thence generally easterly and southerly along the
generally northern and eastern boundaries of that section to
its south-eastern corner; thence due east along a right line
to its intersection with the north-western boundary of Section
17; thence generally north-easterly and south-easterly along
the north-western and north-eastern boundaries of that section
and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the
north-western boundary of Section 20; thence generally south-
easterly along the generally north-eastern boundary of that
section to the western boundary of part Section 30, Block III,
Awamoko Survey District; thence southerly and south-easterly
along that boundary and the south-western boundary of the
said part Section 30 and Sections 33 and 31 to the southern-
most point of the last-mentioned section; thence southerly along
a right line to the northernmost corner of part Section 53;
thence southerly and generally south-easterly along the eastern
and generally north-eastern boundaries of that section and the
production of the last-mentioned boundary to the north-western
corner of Section 61, Block II, Awamoko Survey District;
thence generally south-easterly and south-westerly along the
generally north-eastern and south-eastern boundaries of that
section and the production of the last-mentioned boundary
to the easternmost corner of Section 64; thence south-westerly
along the south-eastern boundary of that section and its production
to the south-western boundary of the "Oamaru Borough
Water Race"; thence generally westerly along that boundary
to the north-west corner of Section 68; thence generally south-
erly along the western boundary of that section to the northern
boundary of Smilie Road; thence westerly along that boundary
and its production to the south-eastern corner of Section 58;
thence again westerly along the southern boundaries of Sections
58, 56, and 57 to the generally eastern boundary of Dovey
Road, Block III, Awamoko Survey District; thence generally
northerly along that boundary to a point in line with the
eastern boundary of Section 52; thence northerly to and along
that boundary to the north-eastern corner of the last-mentioned
section; thence generally westerly along the northern boundary
of that section to its north-western corner; thence generally
northerly along the generally eastern boundary of Taylor Road
to a point in line with the south-western boundary of Section
38; thence generally north-westerly to and along that boundary
and the generally south-western boundaries of Sections 37,
111, 36, and part Section 35 to the westernmost corner of
Section 11, Block III, Maerewhenua Survey District; thence
generally north-easterly along the north-western boundary of
part Section 35 aforesaid, to the southernmost corner of Section
115, Block IV; thence northerly along the western boundary
of that section to the southernmost corner of part Section
109; thence north-westerly along a right line to the eastern-
most corner of Section 114; thence northerly along the eastern
boundary of that section and its production to the northern
boundary of the Kurow Branch Railway; thence westerly along
that northern boundary to a point in line with the south-
western boundary of part Lot 1, D.P. 218; thence north-
westerly to and along that boundary to the westernmost corner
of part Lot 3, D.P. 218; thence north-easterly along the north-
western boundary of the last-mentioned lot, to the south-western
boundary of Campbell Street; thence north-westerly along that
boundary to a point in line with the western boundary of
Harris Street; thence northerly to and along that boundary
to the southernmost corner of Section 15, Block IV; thence
north-westerly along the generally north-eastern boundary of
the Kurow Branch Railway to the westernmost corner of
Section 29; thence north-easterly along the north-western bound-
ary of that section to the point of commencement.

As the same is more particularly shown edged red on a plan
deposited in the office of the Minister of Works and Development
at Wellington and marked M.O.W. 28333.

Appointments

Flight Lieutenant N. F. Wright to be temp. Squadron Leader
with effect from 18 August 1975.
Flight Lieutenant A. T. King is appointed to a permanent
commission with effect from 22 July 1975.
Flight Lieutenant D. N. Wiklund is appointed to a permanent
commission with effect from 22 July 1975.
The following Officer Cadets are appointed to permanent
commissions in the rank of Acting Pilot Officer with effect
from 20 June 1975:

the Reserve of Air Force Officers until 14 August 1979,
with effect from 15 August 1975.
Flight Lieutenant Ronald John Lamont is transferred to
