Bylaw Fixing the Maximum Speed of Vehicles on No. 94
State Highway (Gore-Milford Sound) at Milford Sound
PURSUANT to the National Roads Act 1953 and the Transport Act 1962, the National Roads Board makes the following bylaw.
BYLAW

  1. This bylaw may be cited as the National Roads Board Bylaw 1975, No. 4.
  2. This bylaw shall come into force on the day after the date of its publication in the Gazette.
  3. In this bylaw “vehicle” has the meaning assigned to it in the Transport Act 1962.
  4. No person shall drive or take or permit to be driven or taken any vehicle upon or over No. 94 State Highway (Gore-Milford Sound) at Milford Sound from the north abutment of Wharf Creek Bridge extending generally in a southerly direction for 1 kilometre at a speed exceeding 30 kilometres per hour.
  5. Every person who commits an offence against this bylaw is liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding $100.
  6. National Roads Board Bylaw 1971, No. 2 is revoked.
    This bylaw was made by resolution duly passed at a meeting of the National Roads Board held in Wellington on the 20th day of August 1975.

    Bylaw Fixing the Maximum Speed of Vehicles on the Lindis River (Bailey) Bridge and its Approaches on No. 8 State Highway (Timaru-Milton)
    PURSUANT to the National Roads Act 1953, and the Transport Act 1962, the National Roads Board hereby makes the following bylaw.
    BYLAW
  7. This bylaw may be cited as the National Roads Board Bylaw 1975, No. 3.
  8. This bylaw shall come into force on the day after the date of its publication in the Gazette.
  9. In this bylaw “vehicle” has the meaning assigned to it in the Transport Act 1962.
  10. No person shall drive or take or permit to be driven or taken any vehicle upon or over the Lindis River (Bailey) Bridge and the approaches thereto (being the bridge and approaches described in the Schedule hereto) at a speed exceeding 20 kilometres per hour.
  11. Every person who commits an offence against this bylaw is liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding $100.
  12. National Roads Board Bylaw 1971, No. 1, is revoked.
    SCHEDULE
    No. 8 State Highway (Timaru-Milton) Lindis River bailey bridge 7 kilometres south of Tarras commencing approximately 90 metres north-easterly from the north end of the bailey bridge over the Lindis River and continuing generally south-westerly along the highway and over the said bridge for a total distance of approximately 230 metres.
    This bylaw was made by resolution duly passed at a meeting of the National Roads Board held in Wellington on the 20th day of August 1975.

    The Overseas Investment Exemption Notice 1974, No. 2
    PURSUANT to the Overseas Investment Regulations 1974*, hereinafter referred to as the regulations, the Overseas Investment Commission hereby gives the following notice of exemption.
    NOTICE
  13. Title—This notice may be cited as the Overseas Investment Exemption Notice 1974, No. 2.
  14. Exemption of Transactions of Certain Overseas Persons from the Regulations—Every person that is a company within the meaning of the Companies Act 1955, and is an overseas person within the meaning of regulation 2 (1) of the regulations, but which would not be an overseas person if the shares in the company registered in the names of any of the persons mentioned in the Schedule hereto were held by persons who are not overseas persons except where the company in question is a subsidiary as defined in regulation 2 (2) of the regulations of one of the persons mentioned in the Schedule hereto, is hereby exempted from the application of the provisions of regulation 4 in Part I and all of the provisions of Parts II and III of the regulations.
  15. Exemption From Regulation 3 (1) (a) of Certain Borrowings Outside New Zealand—Every person being a body corporate incorporated in New Zealand or being an unincorporated body of persons (other than a partnership in which none of the partners is a body corporate incorporated in New Zealand) carrying on business in New Zealand or any person acting as a nominee for or on behalf of any such body corporated or unincorporated body is hereby exempted from the provisions of regulation 3 (1) (a) of the regulations in respect of borrowings for a term not exceeding a total of 12 months where the moneys borrowed are used exclusively for the purpose of financing the export of goods from New Zealand or the import of goods into New Zealand by the borrower.
  16. Revocation—The following notice is hereby revoked: The Overseas Investment Exemption Notice 1974, No. 1 (Gazette, 21 November 1974, No. 114, p. 2640).
