Varying Notice of Declaration of State Highways

Pursuant to section 11 of the National Roads Act 1953, the National Roads Board, acting with the written approval of the Minister of Works and Development, hereby gives notice that it varies the notice declaring public highways to be State highways, dated 9 March 1960, published in the Gazette, 24 March 1960, Vol. I, p. 384, by deleting from the Schedule to the said notice the paragraph described in the First Schedule hereto, and substituting therefor the paragraph set out in the Second Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE
PARAGRAPH deleted from the South Island section of Part II of the Schedule to the said notice:
Bluff—No. 1 State Highway.

SECOND SCHEDULE
PARAGRAPH substituted in the South Island section of Part II of the Schedule to the said notice:
Bluff—No. 1 State Highway: from the north-west boundary of the Borough of Bluff, along Ocean Beach Road, Blackwater Street, Gore Street, and Marine Parade to the end of the public highway 300 metres beyond the Pilot Station access road.

Animal Quarantine Ground at Waerenga—Extension of Declaration (No. 1200 Ag. 6/4/7/2)

NOTICE is hereby given that pursuant to section 11 of the Animals Act 1967, the land and premises described in the Schedule hereto are declared to be a quarantine ground for the detention of imported horses from the 12th day of August 1975 to the 11th day of February 1976. This notice extends for a further 6 months the declaration dated 6 March 1975 published in New Zealand Gazette, 1975, at p. 443.

SCHEDULE
ALL that parcel of land containing 89 acres and 4.6 perches, more or less, being Lot 1, Deposited Plan S. 5748, and part Lot 1, Deposited Plan 27165, and being part of Allotments 65, 69, 70A, 71, and 167, Parish of Whangamarino, and being all of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 1714, folio 89, South Auckland Land Registry.

Hop Marketing Committee Election (No. 1201 Ag. 60546)

Pursuant to clause 11 of the Schedule to the Hop Marketing Regulations 1939, notice is hereby given that the roll of those persons qualified to vote for the election of five producers’ representatives on the Hop Marketing Committee will be open for inspection during ordinary office hours at the following places, viz., Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, Head Office, Wellington, and at Nelson; also at the following Post Offices, viz., Motueka, Upper Moutere, Wakefield and Nelson.

The roll will be available for public inspection for a period of 7 days from 21 August 1975.

Nomination forms may be obtained on application to any of the above offices or from the Returning Officer, Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, Nelson. Nominations must be in the hands of the Returning Officer not later than noon on 10 September 1975.

Local Authorities Loans Act 1956—General Variation of Conditions of Borrowing

Pursuant to section 9 (4A) of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 (as inserted by section 4 (3) of the Local Authorities Loans Amendment Act 1967) notice is hereby given that the Local Authorities Loans Board, acting with the approval of the Minister of Finance has determined as follows:

  1. This general determination shall apply to all money which any local authority has received the sanction of the Board given before the date of this notice to borrow by way of special loan other than money borrowed or raised prior to the 22nd day of August 1975.

  2. No agreement or arrangement shall be entered into with any body or person for carrying out any part of the work to be financed by any such money whereby that body or person is to subscribe for or purchase any debenture or stock in satisfaction of all or part of the price for carrying out such work.

  3. No agreement or arrangement shall be entered into with any body or person in connection with the borrowing of any such money whereby any such money is to be invested by the local authority at a rate of interest which would yield less than the rate that would have been payable if the money had been deposited at interest with the National Provident Fund Board.

  4. All sanctions to which this general determination applies shall be varied accordingly.
