Bylaw Regulating Heavy Motor Vehicles on the Gulliver and
Donne Suspension Bridges on No. 94 State Highway
(Lumsden - Te Anau - Milford Sound)
PURSUANT to the National Roads Act 1953 and the Transport
Act 1962 the National Roads Board hereby makes the follow-
ing bylaw.
BYLAW

  1. This bylaw may be cited as National Roads Bylaw 1975;
    No. 1.
  2. This bylaw shall come into force on the day after its
    publication in the Gazette.
  3. National Roads Bylaw 1974, No. 3, is hereby revoked.
  4. In this bylaw the expression "Heavy motor vehicle" has
    the meaning assigned to it in the Heavy Motor Vehicle
    Regulations 1974.
  5. No person shall take or drive any heavy motor vehicle
    on to any bridge that this bylaw applies to while there is
    another heavy motor vehicle on that bridge.
  6. This bylaw applies to the Gulliver suspension bridge
    and the Donne suspension bridge, both on No. 94 State
    Highway (Lumsden - Te Anau - Milford Sound).
  7. Every person who commits an offence against this bylaw
    is liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding two
    hundred dollars ($200).
    This bylaw was made by resolution duly passed at a meeting
    of the National Roads Board held at Wellington on the 19th
    day of March 1975.

    The Transport (Waybill Exemption) Notice 1975
    PURSUANT to section 109A of the Transport Act 1962, the
    Secretary for Transport hereby exempts from the require-
    ments of that section, heavy motor vehicles carrying only
    the goods described in the Schedule hereto.
    SCHEDULE
    Goods
    Goods carried by the owner in his own motor vehicle that
    are intended for commercial sale from that vehicle, provided
    the carriage of such goods does not infringe the provisions
    of sections 108 and 109 of the Transport Act 1962 or the
    Transport Licensing Regulations 1963.

    Revocation of Declaration Relating to Infected Area in
    Respect of Arhopalus ferus, Hylastes ater, Pachycotes
    peregrinus, Platypus apicalis, Sirex noctilio, and Xyleborus
    saxeseni
    PURSUANT to the Forest Disease Control Regulations 1967,
    the declaration of "infected area" relating to that part of
    the County of Tauranga comprising Matakana Island and
    the Borough of Mount Maunganui in respect of the forest
    disease Arhopalus ferus, Hylastes ater, Pachycotes peregrinus,
    Platypus apicalis, Sirex noctilio, and Xyleborus saxeseni as
    published in the Gazette, No. 23, dated 16 April 1970, p. 685,
    is revoked.
    The said revocation was published on the dates specified
    in the following newspapers:
    Bay of Plenty Times, Tauranga, 1, 3, and 4 February 1975.
    Daily Post, Rotorua, 1, 3, and 4 February 1975.
    New Zealand Herald, Auckland, 1, 3, and 4 February 1975.
    In terms of regulation 4 of the said regulations, the said
    revocation came into force on the 1st day of February 1975.

    PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the under-
    signed Assistant Secretary to the Treasury, acting under powers
    delegated to the Secretary to the Treasury by the Minister of
