Into Wards (Notice No. 1075 Ag. 20891A)

PURSUANT to section 21 of the Agricultural Pests Destruction Act 1967, the Central King Country Pest Destruction Board hereby gives notice that the Central King Country Pest Destruction District which was constituted by Order in Council on the 18th day of March 1974* is hereby divided into wards, the names and boundaries of which are specified in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

OHURA NORTH WARD

ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District, Taumarunui County, containing 556 square kilometres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at the intersection of the middle of the Panirau Stream with the western boundary of Block IX, Aria Survey District, being a point on the generally northern boundary of the Taumarunui County as described by New Zealand Gazette, 1967, page 1869, and proceeding generally easterly along that boundary to the westernmost corner of Rangitoto Tuhua 77B2B4D, situated in Block III, Tangitu Survey District; thence south-easterly along the south-western boundary of that section and its production to the middle of the Ongarue River; thence generally southerly down the middle of that river to the southern side of the Stratford-Okahukura railway; thence generally north-westerly along that side and the northern boundary of Section 26, Block I, Rangi Survey District, to the south-eastern boundary of Section 33, Block I; thence generally south-westerly along that boundary and the south-eastern boundary of Part Section 30, Block I, and that boundary produced to the southern side of Opotiki Road; thence westerly along that side and the eastern side of Ararimu East Road to a point in line with the southern boundary of Part Section 7, Block I; thence to and along that boundary, the eastern and southern boundaries of Part Lot 3, D.P. 2717, situated in Block IV, Ohura Survey District, the southern boundary of Part Lot 2, D.P. 2717, the southern boundary of Part Lot 1, D.P. 2716, to and along the generally southern boundaries of Section 7 and Part Section 6, Block IV, the south-western boundary of Part Section 4, Block IV, the generally eastern boundaries of Section 9, Block III, Ohura Survey District, along a right line across Waitangata Road to and along the south-eastern boundary of Section 1, Block VII, Ohura Survey District, to Trig. Station Tiro, along a right line to Trig. Station Wharehanga, a right line to the easternmost corner of Part Section 7, Block VII, along the generally south-eastern boundary of that section and the generally southern boundary of Part Section 8, Block VII, to the north-eastern side of Turoto Road; thence north-westerly along that side to a point due east of the intersection of the northern side of Huia Road with the western side of Kopuha Road; thence to and generally north-westerly along the northern side of Huia Road to the western boundary of Part Section 3S, Huia Settlement; thence northerly along that boundary to the south-eastern side of Ohura Road; thence north-easterly along that side to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Part Lot 3, D.P. 4850; thence northerly to and along that boundary and its production to the middle of the Waitawhena Stream; thence generally westerly down the middle of that stream and up the middle of the Mangakara Stream to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Section 15, Block V, Ohura Survey District; thence generally north-easterly along that boundary and the south-eastern and generally western boundaries of Section 5, Block I, Ohura Survey District, the generally western boundaries of Section 1, Block I, Section 4, Subsection 2 of Section 3, Section 2 and Section 1, Block XIII, Aria Survey District, Section 2 and Part Section 1, Block IX, Aria Survey District, to the north-western corner of that Part Section 1; thence westerly along a right line to the point of commencement.

TOKIRIMA WARD

ALL that area in the Taranaki and Wellington Land Districts, Taumarunui and Stratford Counties, Taumarunui Borough and Ohura Town District, containing 988 square kilometres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at the intersection of the generally eastern boundary of Part Section 9, Block VIII, Pouatu Survey District, with the generally western boundary of the Taumarunui County as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1967, p. 1869, and proceeding generally northerly along that boundary to and generally south-easterly along the generally western and southern boundaries of the Ohura North Ward as hereinbefore described to and generally southerly down the middle of the Ongarue and Wanganui Rivers to a point in line with the western boundary of Section 4, Block III, Hunua S.D.; thence southerly to and along that boundary to the north-eastern side of the Wanganui Valley Road; thence generally south-easterly along that side to a point due north of the south-western corner of Section 2, Block III, Hunua S.D.; thence southerly along a right line to that corner, thence south-easterly along a right line to the easternmost corner of Section 9, Block III, and along the generally southern boundaries of Section 25, Block III, and Sections 5, 6, and Part 7, Block VIII, Hunua S.D., to a point due north of the easternmost corner of Section 8, Block VIII, Hunua S.D.; thence southerly along a right line to that corner and along the eastern boundary of the said Section 8 to its south-eastern corner; thence generally south-westerly along the southern boundary of the said Section 8, the southern side of Kirikau Valley Road, the eastern boundary of Section 5, Block I, Kaitieke S.D., the northern boundaries of Section 7 and 1, Block I, Kaitieke S.D., the north-western boundaries of Sections 2 and 9, Block VIII, Retaruke S.D., a right line across a road to and along the north-western boundary of Section 3, Block VIII, to a point in line with the southern boundary of Section 3, Block VII, Retaruke S.D., to and along the generally southern boundaries of Section 3, 2, 4, and 12, Block VII, Retaruke Survey District, and the last-mentioned boundary produced to the middle of the Wanganui River, being a point on the boundary of the Taumarunui County as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1967, p. 1869; thence generally north-westerly along that boundary to a point in line with the southern boundary of Maraekowhai A5E Block situated in Block IX, Heao Survey District; thence westerly to and along that boundary and the southern boundary of Maraekowhai A5H Block and its production to the middle of the Tangarakau River; thence north-westerly generally up the middle of that river to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Section 30, Block VII, Pouatu Survey District; thence northerly to and along that boundary and the eastern boundary of part Section 9, Block VII, aforesaid, to the point of commencement.

WAIMIHA WARD

ALL that area in the Taranaki and South Auckland Land Districts, containing 248 square kilometres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at the north-western corner of Rangitoto Tuhua 77B2B4D situated in Block III, Tangitu Survey District, being a point on the boundary of the Taumarunui County as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1967, page 1869, and proceeding generally easterly along the generally northern boundary of that county to a point in line with the western boundary of Section 2, Block X, Hurakia Survey District; thence southerly to and along that boundary and the western boundary of Section 5, Block X, to the northern side of a public road; thence easterly along that side to a point in line with the western boundary of Section 1, Block XIV, Hurakia Survey District; thence generally south-westerly to and along that boundary and the north-western and western boundaries of Part Rangitoto Tuhua 10, the generally northern boundary and the north-western boundary of Section 2, Block I, Puketapu Survey District, and the production of that boundary to the north-eastern boundary of Section 1, Block I; thence generally westerly along that boundary and the generally northern boundary of the said Section 1, Block I, and Sections 2 and 1, Block IV, Tuhua Survey District, the north-western boundary of that Section 1, Block IV, the north-eastern boundaries of Sections 6, 5, and 4, Block IV, the north-western boundary of that Section 4, Block IV, and its production to and along the generally northern boundary of Section 3, Block IV, the northern boundaries of Sections 2 and 1, Block III, Tuhua Survey District, to and down the middle of the Mangatukutuku Stream to its confluence with the Ongarue River; thence generally north-westerly up the milddle of that river to a point in line with the south-western boundary of Rangitoto Tuhua 77B2B4D; thence to and north-westerly along that boundary, crossing State Highway 4, to the point of commencement.

MERINGA WARD

ALL that area in the South Auckland and Wellington Land Districts, Taumarunui and Taupo Counties, and Taumarunui Borough containing 1909 square kilometres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at the confluence of the Wanganui and Ongarue Rivers in Block I, Piopiotea Survey District, and proceeding generally northerly up the middle of the Ongarue River to its confluence with the Mangatutu-tuku Stream in Block XIII, Ongarue Survey District, being a point on the boundary of the Waimiha Ward hereinbefore described; thence generally easterly and northerly along that boundary to the middle of the Ongarue River in Block X, Hurakia Survey District; thence generally easterly up the middle of that river to a point in line with the generally western boundary of Maraeroa A2 Block in Block VII, Hurakia Survey District; thence generally southerly to and along that boundary and the generally western boundary of part Waihaha No. 1 to Trig. Station No. 2165 (Pakihi) in Block II, Puketapu Survey District; thence south-easterly along a right line to the north-easternmost corner of Hauhun-
