Notice of Intention to Take Land in Block I, Waiapu Survey
District, and Block XIII, East Cape Survey District, Waiapu
County
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take for a public work the land described in the Schedule hereto, such land to be used in the realignment of part of State Highway No. 35; and notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post office at Te Araroa and is there open for inspection; that all persons directly affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any objection to the taking of the said land, not being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation, make a written objection and send it within 40 days after the first publication of this notice, to the Town and Country Planning Appeal Board at Wellington; and that if any objection is made in accordance with this notice, a public hearing of the objection will be held, unless the objector otherwise requires and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.

As shown on the plans above mentioned lodged in the
office of the Chief Surveyor at Gisborne.
The land is situated along the Opotiki to Gisborne via Te Araroa State Highway No. 35 and commences approximately 1 mile south of where it crosses the Awatere River south of Te Araroa. The land required stretches south of that point for approximately 3 miles.

Declaring Land Acquired for a Government Work and Not Required for That Purpose to be Crown Land in Block X, Puketi Survey District, Taupo County
PURSUANT to section 35 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works and Development hereby declares the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land subject to the Land Act 1948 as from the 20th day of March 1975.
