At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 24th day
of February 1975
Present:

THE HON. R. J. TIZARD PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act
1941, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and
with the advice and consent of the Executive Council hereby
revokes the Order in Council made on the 2nd day of
September 1974 and published in the Gazette on the 5th day
of September 1974 at page 1854, and hereby amends the
Rangitikei-Wanganui Catchment District Order 1972 made on
the 20th day of March 1972 and published in the Gazette
on the 29th day of March 1972 at page 668, by:

First, deleting paragraphs 3, 4, and 5; secondly, substituting the new paragraphs 3 and 4 as set out in the Schedule hereto; thirdly renumbering paragraphs 6 and 7 with the new numbers 5 and 6.

This Order in Council shall come into effect from and after
the date of its publication in the Gazette.

SCHEDULE
3. Constitution of Board—The Board of the said Catchment District shall consist of 5 non-elective members and 10 elective members with representation of such elective members being as follows:

Pursuant to the Agricultural Pests Destruction Act 1967,
His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby
makes the following Order.

ORDER

  1. This Order may be cited as the East Otago Pest Destruction District Order 1975.

  2. The boundaries of the East Otago Pest Destruction District, which was constituted by Order in Council on the 25th day of March 1974*, are hereby redefined and, as from the commencement of this Order, the boundaries of the said district shall be those specified in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE
BOUNDARIES OF THE EAST OTAGO PEST DESTRUCTION DISTRICT
ALL that area in the Otago Land District, Counties of Maniototo, Taieri, Waihemo, Waikouaiti, and Waitaki,
Boroughs of Port Chalmers and Waikouaiti and City of Dunedin containing 336550 hectares, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at Trig. Station S, Swampy Spur, Block V, Dunedin and East Taieri Survey District, and proceeding westerly along the northern boundary of Dunedin and East Taieri Survey District to the north-western corner of Section 9, Block III, Dunedin and East Taieri Survey District;
then generally south-westerly along the north-western boundaries of Sections 9, 8, 7, and 6, Block III aforesaid, to the westernmost corner of the last-mentioned section; thence generally westerly along a right line to and along the southern side of a road forming the northern boundaries of Sections 38, 1136R, 1 of 28, and the land shown on D.P. 3342, Block II, Dunedin and East Taieri Survey District, to the south-eastern side of the Otago Central railway; then generally northeasterly and north-westerly along the south-eastern and north-eastern sides of that railway to the south-western corner of Section 1, Block I, Silverpeak Survey District, being a point 60 metres approximately, north-eastward of the northernmost corner of Crown land, Block I aforesaid; thence south-westerly to and along the north-western boundary of that Crown land and its production to the middle of the Taieri River; thence generally northerly along the middle of that river to its confluence with Deep Stream; thence generally westerly, south-westerly, and north-westerly along the middle of Deep Stream to its intersection with the south-western boundary of Run 734 approximately 1400 metres east of Trig. Station H, Block VII, Hedgehope Survey District; thence generally north-westerly along the south-western boundary of Run 734 and its production to the middle of the Taieri River; thence generally north-easterly along the middle of the Taieri River to point in line with the south-eastern side of a road in Block VII, Serpentine Survey District; thence generally north-easterly to and along the south-eastern side of that road and the south-eastern boundaries of Run 254D, Part Run 254C and Run 254B to the western boundary of Run 601; thence northerly along the western boundary of Run 601 to the middle of the Loganburn; thence generally northerly along the middle of the Loganburn to a point in line with the northern boundary of Run 599 in Block VI, Loganburn Survey District;
thence generally easterly and north-easterly to and along the northern and north-western boundaries of Run 599 and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the north-western corner of Run 598; thence generally north-easterly along the north-western boundaries of Runs 598, 597, 596, Lots 3, 2, and 1, D.P. 5457, and Runs 783, 782, 714, Part 713, 712, 711, 205H, 205B, and 205G to the south-eastern side of Gorge Road; thence generally north-easterly along that side and the northern boundary of Part Section 7, Block XIII, Rock and Pillar Survey District, and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the middle of the Taieri River; thence south-easterly along the middle of that river to a point due west of Trig. Station K, Flat Hill; thence due east to that Trig. station; thence northerly and easterly along the western and northern boundaries of Section 1, Block XIII, Swinburn Survey District, and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the middle of the Waihemo or Shag River; thence generally north-easterly along the middle of that river and along the north-western and north-eastern boundary of Section 1, Block VI, to the north-western corner of Section 1, Block XV, Kakanui Survey District; thence generally south-easterly and south-westerly along the generally north-eastern and south-eastern boundaries of that section and the south-western boundaries of Runs 571 and 572 to the northern boundary of Part Run 699; thence generally easterly and south-easterly along the northern and north-eastern boundaries of Part Run 699, and the northern boundary of Run 700 to the middle of the Waianakarua River (north branch); thence generally easterly along the middle of that river to the eastern Boundary of Block VIII, Otepopo Survey District; thence southerly along that eastern boundary to the northern side of Breakneck Road; thence generally westerly along the northern side of that road to the north-eastern side of Mount Misery Road; thence south-easterly along the north-eastern side of that road to the
