Appointments, Promotions, Extensions, Relinquishments, Can-
cellations, Transfers, Resignations of Officers in the New
Zealand Cadet Forces
PURSUANT to section 59 of the Defence Act 1971, the Minister
of Defence hereby approves the following appointments, pro-
motions, extensions, relinquishments, cancellations, transfers,
and resignations of the New Zealand Cadet Forces.
SEA CADET CORPS
Appointments
Bruce Spencer Cameron is appointed to a commission in the
rank of Ensign with effect from 23 October 1974.
John Robert Meldrum is appointed to a commission in the
rank of Ensign with effect from 23 October 1974.
Stephen Kenneth Lisk is appointed to a commission in the
rank of Ensign with effect from 29 October 1974.
Kevin Harvey Henderson is appointed to a commission in
the rank of Sub Lieutenant with effect from 5 November 1974.
Termination
The appointment of Sub Lieutenant Colin Mervyn Richens
is terminated with effect from 6 June 1973.
AIR TRAINING CORPS
Appointments
Barry James Mills is appointed to a commission in the rank
of Pilot Officer for a period of 4 years with effect from 17
August 1974.
John Falconer McFarlane is appointed to a commission in
the rank of Squadron Leader for a period of 4 years with effect
from 14 October 1974.
Alan Richard Estall is appointed to a commission in the
rank of Pilot Officer for a period of 4 years with effect from
29 October 1974.
Promotions
Flying Officer R. A. Patston to be Flight Lieutenant with
effect from 10 July 1974.
Pilot Officer G. B. McEwan to be Flying Officer with effect
from 19 October 1974.
Extension
Flight Lieutenant R. A. Patston is granted an extension of
his commission until 10 July 1976.
Terminations
The appointment of Squadron Leader Thomas Mervin Brown
is terminated with effect from 23 October 1974.
The appointment of Temporary Flight Lieutenant Anthony
Colin Rutherford is terminated with effect from 29 October
1974.
Transfer to Supernumerary
Pilot Officer G. H. Young is transferred to the supernumerary
list for 1 year with effect from 8 August 1974.
