PURSUANT to the Agricultural Pests Destruction Act 1967, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following Order.

ORDER

1. This Order may be cited as the Western Pest Destruction District Order 1974.

2. The boundaries of the Western Pest Destruction District, which was constituted by Order in Council on the 18th day of March 1974*, are hereby redefined and, as from the commencement of this Order, the boundaries of the said district shall be those specified in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

BOUNDARIES OF THE WESTERN PEST DESTRUCTION DISTRICT

ALL that area in the Wellington and Taranaki Land Districts containing 582,400 hectares, more or less, bounded by a line commencing on the sea coast at the right bank of the Whenuakura River in Block V, Wairoa S.D., and proceeding northerly along that bank to a point in line with the right bank of the Moeawatea Stream in Block VIII, Opaku S.D.; thence to and again generally northerly up the right bank of the said Moeawatea Stream to a point in line with the northern boundary of Section 2, Block IV, Opaku S.D.; thence easterly along the production of that boundary to the middle of Lower Moeawatea Road; thence generally northerly along the middle of that road to a point in line with the generally north-eastern boundary of Subdivision 2 of Section 3, Block IV, Opaku S.D.; thence to and along that boundary, the generally northern boundary of Subdivision 2 of Section 10, Block IV, Opaku S.D., to and along the western boundary of Section 4, Block I, Kapara S.D., to the northern boundary of the Kapara Survey District; thence generally easterly along the northern boundary of that district to the north-western boundary of

Station I (Te Kohatu) and to Trig. Station H (Paretetaitonga) in Block XI, Ruapehu S.D.; thence generally southerly along right lines to Trig. Station N (Ruapehu) and to the source of the Mangaehuehu Stream and down the middle of that stream, the Tokiahuru Stream, and the Whangaehu River to its confluence with the Koukoupo Stream in Block XI, Ngamatea S.D.; thence generally south-easterly up the middle of that stream to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Section 69, Block XVI, Ngamatea S.D., to and along that boundary and its production to and along the middle of a road to a point in line with the south-western boundary of Section 63, Block XIII, Maungakaretu S.D., to and along that boundary and the southern boundary of the said Section 63 to and along the generally western and south-western boundaries of Section 66, Block XIII, Maungakaretu S.D., and along a right line across a road to and along the western boundary of the southern part of the said Section 66 and the production of that boundary to the middle of the Turakina River; thence south-westerly down the middle of that river to a point in line with the northern boundary of Section 9, Block I, Tiriraukawa S.D.; thence generally south-easterly to and along the northern boundaries of Sections 9 and 14, Block I, Tiriraukawa S.D., the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the middle of Karetu North Road, along the middle of that road to a point in line with the northern boundary of Section 1, Block II, Tiriraukawa S.D., to and along that boundary, the north-western and north-eastern boundaries of Section 11, Block II, Tiriraukawa S.D., the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the middle of Pohonui Road, along the middle of that road to a point in line with the northern boundary of Section 15, Block II, Tiriraukawa S.D., to and along that boundary, the eastern boundaries of Sections 15, 16, and 17, Block II, Tiriraukawa S.D., the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the middle of Taheke West Road, along the middle of that road and Taheke Road to the middle of the Mangapapa Stream, down the middle of that stream to a point in line with the north-
