✨ Price Tribunal Decision and Property Transfers

Order of 15 January 1975 or 8.33 cents per hour; whichever
is the lesser. (The maximum increase in rate of 8.33 cents
represents the maximum wage increase of $3.00 per week
recovered over 36 productive hours, ten percent being allowed
for non-productive time.)

  1. To allow the six trades subject to the New Zealand (with
exceptions) Building and Related Industries Tradesmen and
other workers award to recover a further 2.17 percent of the
13.42 percent increase in award, effective from 1 October
1974, approved by the Industrial Commission in January 1975.
The 2.17 percent represents the 13.42 percent increase, less
9 percent, which could be recovered following Price Tribunal
Decision No. 5435 of July 25 1974, less the 2.25 percent,
which suppliers of Group 2 services are required to absorb.
The existing rates for the trades listed below may therefore
be increased, if the service suppliers are subject to the above-
mentioned award and in addition to the amount calculated in
accordance with paragraph 1 above, by an amount equal to
2.17 percent of the remuneration rate lawfully payable as at
    30 June 1974.

  2. The trades to which clause 2 applies are:
    (1) Bricklaying and Blocklaying.
    (2) Building and Carpentry.
    (3) Painting.
    (4) Paperhanging.
    (5) Plastering.
    (6) Roofing and Roof Repairing.

  3. To delegate to the Department the implementation,
administration and enforcement of the terms of this decision.
Dated at Wellington this 5th day of March 1975.
The Seal of the Tribunal was affixed hereto in the presence
    of:
    [L.S.]
    K. R. CONGREVE, President.
    A. G. BEADLE, Member.
