PURSUANT to the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act 1941, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby appoints the officer for the time being holding the office of Assistant Commissioner of Crown Lands, Wellington, to be a non-elective member for a period of 3 years of the Rangitikei-Wanganui Catchment Board in place of the officer holding the office of Commissioner of Crown Lands.

Validation of Date of Mangonui County Council's Annual Meeting

PURSUANT to section 444 of the Counties Act 1956, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER
THE annual meeting of the Mangonui County Council held on 19 November 1975 is hereby validated notwithstanding that the meeting was not held within 30 days after the anniversary of the last triennial election of county councils, as prescribed by section 77 of the Counties Act 1956.

Exempting Lease of Land in Town of Riverside From the Operation of Part III of the Coal Mines Act 1925
DENIS BLUNDELL, Governor-General
PURSUANT to section 171 of the Coal Mines Act 1925, I, Sir Edward Denis Blundell, the Governor-General of New Zealand, do hereby exempt the land described in the Schedule hereto from the operation of Part III of the said Act.
SCHEDULE
ALL that area of land in the Otago Land District containing 8.3391 hectares, more or less, being Sections 7, 10, and 11, Block III, Town of Riverside, being Crown land held under lease No. 395 for coal mining purposes.
Reserving nevertheless unto the Crown firstly, in terms of section 168A of the Coal Mines Act 1925, all coal existing in its natural condition on or under the surface of the said land, and secondly in terms of section 8 of the Mining Act 1971, every mineral existing in its natural condition on or under the surface of the said land.
As witness, the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 3rd day of December 1975.

Alterations to the Scales of Charges Upon the New Zealand Government Railways
AMENDMENT NO. 3
GENERAL SCALE OF CHARGES
PURSUANT to the Government Railways Act 1949, the Minister of Railways hereby makes the following alterations to the General Scale of Charges published in the Supplement dated 3rd day of December 1973, to the New Zealand Gazette of the 29th day of November 1973, and hereby declares that such alterations shall come into force on the 18th day of December 1975:
- Ten-trip Concession Tickets
Paragraph 2:
Omit:
"Ten-trip concession tickets will be transferable and will have unlimited availability. Except when break of journey is necessitated by the train services, ten-trip concession tickets will not be available for break of journey."
Insert:
"Ten-trip concession tickets will be transferable and will subject as is hereinafter provided have unlimited availability. Except when break of journey is necessitated by the train services, 10-trip concession tickets will not be available for break of journey. Such ten-trip concession tickets issued on and after 18 December 1975 up to and including 1 February 1976 will be available for use up to and including 29 February 1976 only.
LOCAL FARES AND CONDITIONS
- Local Fares: Suburban Areas
Paragraph 3 (a): Suburban 10-trip tickets:
Omit:
"Suburban 10-trip tickets will be transferable and will have unlimited availability."
Insert:
"Suburban 10-trip tickets will be transferable and will have unlimited availability, except that those ten-trip concession tickets issued on and after 18 December 1975 and up to and including 1 February 1976 will be available for use up to and including 29 February 1976 only."
