Palmerston North Teachers College Council Notice 1975
PURSUANT to regulation 67B of the Education Act 1964, the Minister of Education hereby gives the following notice.
NOTICE
- This notice may be cited as the Palmerston North Teachers College Council Notice 1975.
(2) This notice shall come into force on the day of its publication in the Gazette.
- (1) There shall be a governing body for the Palmerston North Teachers College which shall be known as the Palmerston North Teachers College Council and shall comprise the following members:
(a) The Principal of the Palmerston North Teachers College;
(b) Two officers of the Department of Education, to be nominated by the Director-General of Education;
(c) Two members of the Wanganui Education Board appointed by the Minister of Education on the nomination of the Wanganui Education Board;
(d) One member of the Taranaki Education Board appointed by the Minister of Education on the nomination of the Taranaki Education Board;
(e) One member of the Hawke's Bay Education Board appointed by the Minister of Education on the nomination of the Hawke's Bay Education Board;
(f) Two members appointed by the Minister of Education on the nomination of the Council of Massey University;
(g) One member, to be appointed by the Minister of Education on the nomination of the Central Districts Regional Branch of the New Zealand Secondary School Boards Association and who shall be a member of that Association;
(h) One member, to be appointed by the Minister of Education on the nomination of the Dominion Executive of the New Zealand Educational Institute;
(i) One member, to be appointed by the Minister of Education on the nomination of the Executive of the New Zealand Post Primary Teachers Association;
(j) One member, to be appointed by the Minister of Education on the joint nomination of the Local Free Kindergarten Associations of Wards No. 3 and 5 of the New Zealand Free Kindergarten Union Incorporated;
(k) One member, being a member of the academic staff of the Palmerston North Teachers College, elected by the academic staff of that College;
(l) One member, being a student of the Palmerston North Teachers College, elected by the students of that College;
(m) Not more than two members to be appointed by the Minister of Education on the nomination of the Palmerston North Teachers College Council, each being a person who in the opinion of that Council has special knowledge and experience of education or who has a special interest in cultural and educational activities.
(2) In addition to the members specified in subclause (1) of this clause, the Minister of Education may, if in his opinion there are other special circumstances, including circumstances relating to the internal management of the Palmerston North Teachers College, appoint additional members to the Palmerston North Teachers College Council.
(3) The members of the Palmerston North Teachers College Council elected or appointed to hold office in accordance with this notice shall do so in the manner prescribed by sections 67E, F, G, and H of the Education Act 1964.
(4) The Palmerston North Teachers College Council Notice 1971* is hereby revoked.

Wellington Teachers College Council Notice 1975
PURSUANT to regulation 67B of the Education Act 1964, the Minister of Education hereby gives the following notice.
NOTICE
- (1) This notice may be cited as the Wellington Teachers College Council Notice 1975.
(2) This notice shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Gazette.
- (1) There shall be a governing body for the Wellington Teachers College which shall be known as the Wellington Teachers College Council and shall comprise the following members:
(a) The Principal of the Wellington Teachers College;
(b) Two officers of the Department of Education, to be nominated by the Director-General of Education;
(c) Two members of the Wellington Education Board appointed by the Minister of Education on the nomination of the Wellington Education Board;
(d) One member of the Nelson Education Board appointed by the Minister of Education on the nomination of the Nelson Education Board;
(e) Two members appointed by the Minister of Education on the nomination of the Council of the Victoria University of Wellington;
(f) One member, to be appointed by the Minister of Education on the nomination of the Wellington Regional Branch of the New Zealand Secondary School Boards Association and who shall be a member of that Association;
(g) One member, to be appointed by the Minister of Education on the nomination of the Dominion Executive of the New Zealand Educational Institute;
(h) One member, to be appointed by the Minister of Education on the nomination of the Executive of the New Zealand Post-primary Teachers Association;
(i) One member, to be appointed by the Minister of Education on the joint nomination of the Local Free Kindergarten Associations of Wards No. 4 and 6 of the New Zealand Free Kindergarten Union Incorporated;

(l) Not more than six members to be appointed by the Minister of Education on the nomination of the Wellington Teachers College Council, each being a person who in the opinion of that Council has special knowledge and experience of education or who has a special interest in cultural and educational activities.
