NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
NOTICE is hereby given that the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Paparua proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to execute certain public works, namely the acquisition of land for housing, roading, and a reserve and recreational purposes and for the purpose of such public works the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the offices of the Paparua County Council, at 149 Main South Road, Sockburn, Christchurch, and is there open for inspection. All persons affected by the execution of the said public works or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any objection to the execution of the said public works or to the taking of the said land, not being objections to the amount or payment of compensation, set forth such objections in writing and send the same within 40 days of the first publication of this notice, to the County Clerk, Paparua County Council, 149 Main South Road, Sockburn, Christchurch. If any objection is made in accordance with this notice, a public hearing of the objection will be held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.
SCHEDULE
ALL that piece of land situated on Middlepark Road and being more particularly 2 roods and 29.1 perches or thereabouts, situated in Block 10 of the Christchurch Survey District, being Lot 2 on Deposited Plan 23857, and being all the land in certificate of title, Register 5B, folio 440 (Canterbury Registry).

NOTICE OF ELECTION
PURSUANT to the Pharmacy Act 1970, notice is hereby given that an election of members of the council of the Pharmaceutical Society of New Zealand will be held in the month of November 1974.
Nominations of candidates, on the prescribed form, close with the registrar at 4 p.m. on 1 November 1974.
Voting papers, if a poll is required, will be received by the registrar until 4 p.m. on 21 November 1974.
The place for receiving nominations of candidates and voting papers relating to such candidates is the office of the Registrar, Pharmaceutical Society of New Zealand, 59 Cambridge Terrace, Wellington 1.

Subscriptions—The subscription is at the rate of $24 per calendar year, including postage, payable in advance.
Single copies available as issued.
The price of each Gazette varies and is printed thereon.
The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening of each week, and notices for insertion must be received by the Government Printer before 12 o’clock of the day preceding publication.
Advertisements are charged at the rate of 10c per line.
The number of insertions required must be written across the face of the advertisement.
All advertisements should be written on one side of the paper, and signatures, etc., should be written in a legible hand.
STATUTORY REGULATIONS
Under the Regulations Act 1936, statutory regulations of general legislative force are no longer published in the New Zealand Gazette, but are supplied under any one or more of the following arrangements:
(1) All regulations serially as issued (punched for filing), subscription $12 per calendar year in advance.
(2) Annual Volume (including index) bound in buckram, $5 per volume. (Volumes for years 1936–37 and 1939–42 are out of print.)
(3) Separate regulations as issued.
The price of each regulation is printed thereon.
