and south-easterly generally down the middle of the Conway
River to the mean high-water mark of the sea; thence south-
westerly along that high water mark to the point of com-
mencement.
Culverden Ward
All that area in the Canterbury Land District, Amuri
County, containing 86,300 acres, more or less, bounded by
a line commencing at the confluence of the Hurunui and
Pahau Rivers in Block XV, Culverden Survey District, and
proceeding westerly generally up the middle of the Hurunui
River to the confluence of Hurunui and Mandamus Rivers;
then northerly generally up the middle of the Mandamus
River to the confluence of Dove and Mandamus Rivers;
then north-easterly generally up the middle of the Dove
River to a point in line with the south-western boundary
of Lot 1, D.P. 3550, in Block II, Mandamus Survey District;
then south-easterly generally to and along that boundary
to the south-western boundary of Lot 16, D.P. 3551; then
easterly generally along the south-western and south-eastern
boundaries of that lot to the easternmost corner of that lot;
then northerly along a right line to the south-western
corner of Section 29, Culverden Settlement; thence north-
easterly generally along the left bank of Black Birch Stream,
the north-western boundaries of Sections 31 and 29, Culverden
Settlement, and the northern boundaries of Sections 31, 29,
28, 27, and 26, Culverden Settlement, to the southern side
of No. 7 State Highway (Waipara-Greymouth); thence north-
westerly along that roadside to a point in line with the
middle of the road forming the north-western boundary of
Lot 1, D.P. 4972, in Block I, Culverden Survey District;
then north-easterly to and along the middle of that road
and its production to the middle of the Waiau River; then
easterly down the middle of that river to a point in line
with the eastern boundary of Section 34, Culverden Settle-
ment; then southerly to and along that boundary and the
(Kaikoura-Culverden); then south-westerly along that road-
easterly boundaries of Sections 1, 36, 37, and 38, Culverden
Settlement, to the north-western side of No. 70 State Highway
side and the north-western side of No. 7 State Highway
(Waipara-Greymouth) to the middle of the Pahau River;
then south-easterly down the middle of that river to the
point of commencement.

(b) The proportion of New Zealand and imported materials used in manufacture;
(c) Present and potential output; and
(d) Details of factory cost in terms of materials, labour, overhead, etc.
