Pursuant to section 332 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953,
the Board of Maori Affairs hereby gives notice as follows.
NOTICE
- This notice may be cited as Maori Land Development
Notice Whangarei 1974, No. 22. - The notice referred to in the First Schedule hereto is
hereby amended by omitting all reference to the land
described in the Second Schedule hereto. - The land described in the Second Schedule hereto is
hereby released from Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act

Licensing Waipipi Ironsands Limited to Use and Occupy a
Part of Waverley Harbour for the Purpose of Maintaining
Thereon a Ship Mooring and Pipeline
Pursuant to section 162 of the Harbours Act 1950, I, Peter
Edward Muers, of the Ministry of Transport, in exercise
of powers delegated by the Minister of Transport hereby
license and permit Waipipi Ironsands Limited (hereinafter
called the licensee which term shall include its successors
or assigns unless the context requires a different construction)
to use and occupy a part of the Waverley Harbour
as shown on plan marked M.D. 14060 and deposited in the
office of the Ministry of Transport at Wellington, for the
purpose of maintaining thereon a ship mooring and pipeline
as shown on the said plan. Such licence to be held and
enjoyed by the licensee upon and subject to the terms and
conditions set forth in the licence dated the 1st day of
July 1971 and made between Her Majesty the Queen in
right of the Government of New Zealand acting by and
through the Minister of Marine of the one part and the
licensee of the other part.

Animal Quarantine Area at Waerenga—Extension of Declaration
(No. 847 Ag. 70072)
NOTICE is hereby given extending for a period of six months
from the 12th day of August 1974 to the 11th day of
February 1975, the declaration (No. 750 Ag. 70072)* dated
the 21st day of May 1974, specifying the land and premises
described in the Schedule hereto to be a quarantine area.
SCHEDULE
ALL that parcel of land containing 89 acres and 4.6 perches,
more or less, being Lot 1, Deposited Plan S. 5748, and
part Lot 1, Deposited Plan 27165, and being part of Allot-
ments 65, 69, 70A, 71, and 167, Parish of Whangamarino,
and being all of the land comprised and described in certificate
of title, Volume 1714, folio 89, South Auckland Land Registry.

Notice of Licensing Poll in Tawa Part of Johnsonville Area
Pursuant to section 13 of the Licensing Amendment Act
No. 2, 1953, the Licensing Control Commission has determined
that a poll shall be taken in the Tawa part of the Johnson-
vile area (as more particularly defined in the Commission’s
decision of 5 August 1974, a copy of which may be obtained
on request from the undersigned) on the proposal that the
sale of liquor be authorised in the said part of the area
(herein referred to as the licensing proposal).
The Commission hereby authorises the taking of the said
poll and the licensing proposal shall be deemed to be carried
if the number of valid votes recorded for that proposal is
not less than three-fifths of all the valid votes recorded
in respect of the proposal.
The Commission now directs that:

The poll be held within the Tawa part of the Johnson-
vile area as defined in the Commission’s decision of 5 August -
The returning officer appointed for the taking of the
poll shall be Noel Anthony Tock, Returning Officer, Borough
of Tawa. -
The poll shall be held between the hours of 9 a.m.
and 7 p.m. on Saturday, 12 October 1974, at the polling
place or places appointed and advertised by the returning
officer and shall be the same as fixed for the triennial
elections for the Borough of Tawa. -
The local authority electoral rolls for the Borough of
Tawa, suitably marked to indicate the persons entitled to
vote, shall be the rolls to be used for the purposes of this
poll. -
A supplementary roll for persons who have qualified
since the last main roll closed shall close at 5 p.m., on
Friday, 20 September 1974. -
The period fixed for special voting shall commence at
9 a.m., on Monday, 30 September 1974, and extend to the
hour fixed for the close of the poll. -
The cost of preparing rolls and conducting the poll
shall be borne by the Tawa Borough Council.
