WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CHANGE THE PURPOSE FOR WHICH
LAND WAS ACQUIRED
In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928, and the Municipal
Corporations Act 1954, and their respective amendments.
Notice is hereby given that the Wellington City Council
proposes under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts
and all other Acts, powers, and authorities enabling it in that
behalf to change the purpose for which the land described in
the Schedule hereto was acquired, namely for pleasure ground,
to some other purpose, namely housing purposes. And
notice is hereby further given that a plan of the said land is
deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk to the said
council in the Municipal Offices Building, 5 Mercer Street
in the said city and is there open for public inspection without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours and that
all persons objecting to the proposal are required to lodge
their objections in writing to the offices of the said Town
Clerk within forty (40) days from the publication of this
notice.
SCHEDULE
FIRST, all that piece of land containing nineteen (19) square
metres, more or less, being part Block XI, Port Nicholson
District, and being part of the land comprised and described
in parts certificates of title 483/174 and 542/243, Wellington
Registry, more particularly shown on S.O. plan 30137 and
thereon numbered “E”.
Secondly, all that piece of land containing five thousand
three hundred and thirty-nine (5339) square metres, more or
less, being part Lots’ 1 and 2, D.P. 10854 and part Lot 1, D.P.
8458, and being part Lots 1 and 2, D.P. 10854, and part Lot 1,
D.P. 8458, and being part Block XI, Port Nicholson District,
and being part of the land comprised and described in parts
certificates of title 483/174 and 542/243, Wellington Registry,
more particularly shown on S.O. plan 30137 and thereon
numbered “H”.
These two areas of land are presently comprised in the area
known as Centennial Park in the vicinity of Miramar North
Road and Darlington Road.

- Government stock—It is the bank's policy to amortise the discounts and premiums on Government stock securities over the term of the investment on a straight-line basis, and to show the value of the stock in the balance sheet at cost price plus amortised discount to date. In accordance with the policy the sum of $1,094 has been transferred to the profit and loss account for this financial year.
