offices of the Wellington Regional Water Board, Second
Floor, Commercial Union Building, corner High Street and
Margaret Street, Lower Hutt, and is there open for inspection
without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours,
and that any person affected by the execution of the said
public work or by the taking of the said lands should, if
he has any objection to the execution of the said public
work or to the taking of the said lands (not being an
objection to the amount or payment of compensation), send
his written objection within 40 days from the first publication
of this notice to the Town and Country Planning Appeal
Board, P.O. 12-244. Wellington North, and notice is hereby
further given that, if any objection is made as aforesaid
a public hearing of the objection will be held, unless the
objector otherwise requires, and that each objector will be
advised of the time and place of the hearing, and at that
hearing each objector will be advised of the reasons for
the proposed taking.

SCHEDULE

ALL those pieces of land containing together 2314 acres
2 roods 26.5 perches, more or less, situate in the Paekakariki
Survey District being—

First: Sections 2 and 3 of Block VII of the said Survey
District, as shown on Deposited Plan No. 610 and—

Secondly: Sections 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11, Block VII,
and part of Sections 24A, 28, and 29, Block X, being also
Lots 3, 4 and 10 on Deposited Plan 8106 and—

Thirdly: Sections 9, 10, 55, 56, and parts 57, 58 and 59,
Horokiwi Valley District, in Blocks VI, VII, IX and X,
being also Lots 1 and 2 on Deposited Plan 24667, the
pieces of land first, secondly and thirdly above decribed
being parts of the land contained in certificate of title,
Volume B1, folio 1461 (Wellington Registry), and—

Fourthly: Section 12 of Deposited Plan 610, being all the
land contained in certificate of title, Volume 86, folio 16
(Wellington Registry).

All the said pieces of land being situated in the vicinity
of Bulls Run Road and Cook Road as shown outlined in
green on the plans annexed hereto and open for inspection
as above set out.

WANGANUI CITY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CHANGE PURPOSE OF LAND OWNED
BY COUNCIL

NOTICE is hereby given, pursuant to the provisions of section
20 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1952, that the
Wanganui City Council intends to change the purpose for
which it holds the land, described in the Schedule hereto,
from its present designation of “a recreation ground”
to its proposed designation of “housing purposes”; and
notice is hereby further given that any person objecting to
the proposal to the change of purpose, for which the land
is so held, as above-described is hereby required to lodge
his objection in writing at the offices of the Wanganui City
Council, Municipal Office Building, 101 Guyton Street,
P.O. Box 637, Wanganui, not later than Wednesday 20
February 1974, which is 40 days from the date of the first
publication of this notice.

The land is on the south side of Great North Road at
the city/county boundary.

WAIRROA BOROUGH COUNCIL

PENSIONER FLATS LOAN 1973—$4,000

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
a loan of $4,000, authorised to be raised by the Wairoa
Borough Council under the Local Authorities Loans Act
1956, and regulations thereunder, and of all other powers in
that behalf enabling it for the purpose of purchasing two
State pensioner units, the said Wairoa Borough Council hereby
makes a special rate of .00139c in the Dollar upon the
rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough,
and that the special rate shall be an annual recurring rate
and be payable on the 1st day of August in each and every
year during the currency of the loan, being a period of
35 years from 1 January 1979, or until the loan is fully paid
off.”

The foregoing resolution was passed at a meeting of the
Wairoa Borough Council held on the 14th day of January
1974.
