Notice Declaring a Noxious Weed in the City of Gisborne
(No. 658 Ag. 20649A)
Pursuant to a delegation from the Minister of Agriculture
and Fisheries under the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries
Act 1953, for the purposes of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950,
the following special order made by the Gisborne City Council
on 11 December 1973, is hereby published.
SPECIAL ORDER
"That, in exercise of the powers conferred upon it by section
3 of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the Gisborne City Council
hereby resolves and declares that the under-mentioned plant
is a noxious weed within the City of Gisborne:
Waterfern (Salvinia, any species)."

Tariff and Development Board Notice No. 391—Further
Notice Regarding Inquiry on Goods Nominated for
Inclusion in Schedule A of the New Zealand - Australia
Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA)
The Minister of Trade and Industry has informed the Board
that, when the goods nominated for inclusion in Schedule A
of the New Zealand - Australia Free Trade Agreement were
published in the New Zealand Gazette of 14 September 1973,
poultry brooders were inadvertently omitted. The Minister
has requested that the hearing set down for Thursday, 9 May
1974, as published in Tariff and Development Board Notice
No. 387 in the New Zealand Gazette of 17 December 1973,
be extended to include poultry brooders and the Board
has agreed to this request. The goods to be considered at
the hearing on 9 May 1974 will therefore be:

The Standards Act 1965—Overseas Specification Available for
Comment
Pursuant to subsection (3) of section 23 of the Standards
Act 1965, notice is hereby given that the under-mentioned
specification is being considered for declaration as a New
Zealand standard specification:
Number and Title of Specification
BS 3505: 1968 Unplasticised PVC pipe (Type 1420) for cold
water supply. Includes Amendment No. 1 (AMD 1014).
Metric units.
Note—It is proposed to declare this specification with
New Zealand amendment (DZ 7648) and to ultimately revoke
NZS 1920 of similar title.
All persons who may be affected by this specification and
who desire to comment thereon may, on application, obtain
a copy on loan from the Standards Association of New
Zealand, World Trade Center, 15–23 Sturdee Street (or
