disclosing an increase of 4.7 percent for the period 1st day
of July 1973 to 31st day of December 1973, hereby orders

Wages Tribunal-Addendum to Wage Order Issued Pursuant
to Regulation 14 (4) of the Economic Stabilisation Regula-
tions 1973, on 16 January 1974
The Tribunal has had its attention drawn to the wording of
the Wage Adjustment Order issued on 16 January 1974.
The Tribunal used the words "rate of remuneration" in its
order. By this the Tribunal meant "wages" as defined in
Regulation 14 (7).
The Tribunal observes that it had no jurisdiction to issue
a Wage Adjustment Order, pursuant to Regulation 14, other
than as it affects wages as defined in the Regulation 14 (7).
Therefore, the increase so authorised applies only to
(a) any minimum rate of salary or wages;
(b) any actual rate of salary or wages;
(c) time and piece wages.
No other rates of remuneration are affected.
Dated at Wellington this 18th day of January 1974.
N. R. TAYLOR, Chairman.
G. O. WHATNALL, Member.
A. D. HENNESSEY, Member.
