Proposed Release of Deposit

In the matter of the Insurance Companies Deposits Act 1953:

Price Forbes Sedgwick Holdings (N.Z.) Limited has given notice to the Public Trustee that it has ceased to carry on business in New Zealand as agent of Commonwealth underwriters, and that it has never carried on business in New Zealand in respect of the class of insurance business designated as Class 2 in the First Schedule to the abovementioned Act, and that it proposes to withdraw the deposit in respect of Class 2 insurance business which has been made by it with the Public Trustee, pursuant to section 19 of the abovementioned Act.

The Public Trustee therefore gives notice, pursuant to section 19(3) of the abovementioned Act, that, subject to his being satisfied that all liabilities of the said company in New Zealand in respect of Class 2 insurance business have been fully liquidated or provided for, he proposes to release to the company on or after 15 July 1974, the amount deposited with him by the said company in respect of Class 2 insurance business.
