The Traffic (Ellesmere and Paparua Counties) Notice No. 1, 1974
PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.
NOTICE

This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Ellesmere and Paparua Counties) Notice No. 1, 1974.

The roads specified in the Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be 40-miles-an-hour speed limit areas for the purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.

The notice under section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, and regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956*, dated the 16th day of February 1970†, which relates to roads in Ellesmere County at Rolleston is hereby revoked.
SCHEDULE
SITUATED within Ellesmere County, at Rolleston:
No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff): from a point 140 metres measured north-easterly generally along the said State highway from the Lincoln-Rolleston Road to a point 340 metres measured south-westerly generally along the said State highway from the Lincoln-Rolleston Road. Brookside Road: from the No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff) to a point 50 metres measured south-westerly generally along the said road from George Street. Byron Street. Chaucer Street. Coleridge Street. Elizabeth Street. George Street. John Street. Lincoln-Rolleston Road: from the No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff) to a point 240 metres measured south-easterly generally along the Lincoln-Rolleston Road from the said State highway. Moore Street. Shelly Street. Springston Road. Springston-Rolleston Road: from the No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff) to a point 480 metres measured south-easterly generally along the Springston-Rolleston Road from the said State highway. William Street. Wordsworth Street. SITUATED within Paparua County, at Rolleston: Springston Road: from the south-eastern boundary of Paparua County to a point 50 metres measured south-easterly generally along the Springston Road from Jones Road.

Declaring Land Taken for a Government Work (Additional Land for the Purposes of the Wellington-Foxton Railway) at Koputaroa and Not Now Required for Those Purposes to be Crown Land
PURSUANT to section 35 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Railways hereby declares the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land, subject to the Land Act 1948 as from the 31st day of May 1974.

1838 Part Reserve 1250, being part of the land com- (1 r 32.7 p) prised and described in Canterbury Provincial Gazette, 1871, p. 15.
Situated in Block IV, Christchurch Survey District.
As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 20098 (S.O. 10261) deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured sepia.

Pursuant to sections 32 and 216 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Railways hereby declares that, a sufficient agreement to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of the S.I.M.T. Railway from and after the 10th day of June 1974.

Consenting to Raising of Loans by Certain Local Authorities
Pursuant to section 3 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 (as amended by section 3 (1) of the Local Authorities Loans Amendment Act 1967), the undersigned Assistant Secretary to the Treasury, acting under powers delegated to the Secretary to the Treasury by the Minister of Finance, hereby consents to the borrowing by the local authorities mentioned in the Schedule hereto of the whole or any part of the respective amounts specified in that Schedule.
