Notice of Intention to Take Land in Block XII, Arowhana Survey District, Waikohu County, for State Forest Purposes

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for State forest purposes, such land to be used in the development of a large area of permanent State forest. And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post office at Whatatutu and is there open for inspection; that all persons directly affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any objection to the taking of the said land, not being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation, make a written objection and send it within 40 days after the first publication of this notice, to the Town and Country Planning Appeal Board at Wellington; and that, if any objection is made in accordance with this notice, a public hearing of the objection will be held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.

SCHEDULE
Gisborne Land District
ALL that piece of land containing 24.6858 hectares situated in Block XII, Arowhana Survey District, Gisborne R.D., and being subdivision O of Mangatu No. 2 Block as shown on plan M.O.W. 27877 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works and Development at Wellington and thereon edged red.

The piece of land is situated about one and a half miles south of a portion of Tarndale Road and is bounded on its north-eastern side by the Waimatau Stream.

Notice of Intention to Take Land in Block I, Tokata Survey District, Opotiki County, for Road

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take for road the land described in the Schedule hereto such land to be used for the deviating of an existing road: and notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post office at Opotiki and is there open for inspection; that all persons directly affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any objection to the taking of the said land, not being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation, make a written objection and send it within 40 days after the first publication of this notice, to the Town and Country Planning Appeal Board at Wellington; and that if any objection is made in accordance with this notice, a public hearing of the objection will be held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.

The land is situated on the Opotiki-Gisborne via Te Araroa State Highway 35, and is required for the realignment of the highway approximately 9 miles west of Te Kaha.

Land Proclaimed as Road in Block XXXIII, Taringatura Survey District, Southland County

PURSUANT to section 29 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1948, the Minister of Works and Development hereby proclaims as road the land described in the Schedule hereto which land shall vest in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Southland.

SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT
ALL that piece of land containing 1.9947 hectares situated in Block XXXIII, Taringatura Survey District, being part Section 496; as shown on plan M.O.W. 27854 (S.O. 8608) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works and Development at Wellington and thereon marked "A".

Land Proclaimed as Road and Road Closed and Vested in Block XV, Pakiri Survey District, Rodney County

PURSUANT to section 29 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1948, the Minister of Works and Development hereby proclaims as road the land described in the First Schedule hereto, which land shall vest in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Rodney; and also hereby proclaims that the road described in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby closed, and that the road first described in the said Second Schedule shall, when so closed, vest in Owairoa Investments Limited at Auckland, subject to memorandum of mortgage 139895.4, North Auckland Land Registry, and that the road secondly described in the said Second Schedule shall, when so closed, vest in Robert Wilson Auld of Auckland, salesman.
