A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Sir Edward Denis Blundell, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for road and shall vest in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Featherston as from the date hereinafter mentioned; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 24th day of April 1974.

SCHEDULE

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT

ALL that piece of land containing 15.3 perches situated in Block IX, Huangarua Survey District, Featherston County, being part Lot 1, D.P. 587, being part Section 2, Wharekaka District; as shown on plan M.O.W. 26011 (S.O. 28204) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works and Development at Wellington and thereon coloured orange.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 5th day of April 1974.

PURSUANT to section 175 (3) of the Harbours Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises the Auckland Harbour Board to reclaim from the sea in Pahurehure Inlet, Manukau Harbour, an area of 7 acres 2 roods 30 perches, more or less, of endowment land as shown on plan M.D. 15242 and deposited in the office of the Ministry of Transport at Wellington.

PURSUANT to the Hydatids Act 1968, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

  1. (1) This order may be cited as the Riccarton Borough Council Hydatids Control District Order 1974.
    (2) This order shall come into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.

  2. The area comprising the Borough of Riccarton as from time to time constituted is hereby declared to be a hydatids control district to be called the Riccarton Borough Council Hydatids Control District.

  3. The Riccarton Borough Council is hereby appointed the hydatids control authority for the Riccarton Borough Council Hydatids Control District.

PURSUANT to the Water and Soil Conservation Act 1967, I, Sir Edward Denis Blundell, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby appoint David Cargill Isaacs, an officer of the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, as deputy to Richard Wright Willett on the Water Resources Council from and after the 24th day of April 1974.

Alick Lindsay Poole, of Wellington, engineer, representing the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Council;

Bruce William Spooner, of Wellington, civil engineer, representing the Water Resources Council;

William Roy Holmes, of Christchurch, medical practitioner, nominated by the Executive Committee of the New Zealand Catchment Authorities Association Incorporated;

James George Barnes, of Dunedin, sharebroker, nominated by the Executive Committee of the Municipal Association of New Zealand Incorporated;

Clutha Nantes Mackenzie, of Waikari, farmer, nominated by the Executive Committee of the New Zealand Counties Association Incorporated;
