ORDER

  1. This order may be cited as the Union of Benmore and Omarama Pest Destruction Districts Order 1974.

  2. The boundaries of the Benmore Pest Destruction District (which was constituted by Order in Council on the 25th day of August 1949*) and the Omarama Pest Destruction District (which was constituted by Order in Council on the 23rd day of February 1949†), are hereby declared united to form one district to be called the Omarama Pest Destruction District, the boundaries of which shall be those specified in the Schedule hereto.

  3. The basis on which the Board for the said District shall first levy its general rate shall be the acreage of the land occupied by the ratepayer.

BOUNDARIES OF OMARAMA PEST DESTRUCTION DISTRICT
THE boundaries of the Omarama Pest Destruction District shall be that area of land contained in the following districts.

Present:

THE HON. H. WATT PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Agricultural Pests Destruction Act 1967, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

  1. This order may be cited as the Union of Awarua and Central Southland Pest Destruction Districts Order 1974.

  2. The boundaries of the Awarua Pest Destruction District (which was constituted by Order in Council on the 4th day of December 1961*), and the Central Southland Pest Destruction District (which was constituted by Order in Council on the 4th day of December 1961†), are hereby declared united to form one district to be called the Mid-Southland Pest Destruction District, the boundaries of which shall be those specified in the Schedule hereto.

  3. The basis on which the Board for the said District shall levy its general rate shall be the acreage of the land occupied by the ratepayer.

THE boundaries of the Mid-Southland Pest Destruction District shall be that area of land contained in the following districts.

  3. The basis on which the Board for the said District shall first levy its general rate shall be the acreage of the land occupied by the ratepayer.

THE HON. H. WATT PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Harbours Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

  1. This order may be cited as the Ohawe Beach and Waihi Beach Foreshore Control Order 1974.

  2. This order shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Gazette.

  3. The Ohawe and Waihi Beach Foreshore Control Order 1968*, is hereby revoked.

  4. In this order:

“Foreshore” means such parts of the bed, shore, or banks of a tidal water as are covered and uncovered by the flow and ebb of the tide at ordinary spring tides;

“Minister” means the Minister of Transport, and includes any officer, person or authority acting by or under the direction or authority of the Minister;

“Act” means the Harbours Act 1950.

  1. There its hereby granted for a period of 10 years from the commencement of this order to the persons appointed beach rangers, under the Harbours Act 1950, for the Ohawe and Waihi Beaches (hereinafter called the Trustees) the control of the foreshore described in the First Schedule to this
