Consenting to Raising of Loans by Certain Local Authorities
Pursuant to section 3 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 (as amended by section 3(1) of the Local Authorities Loans Amendment Act 1967), the undersigned Assistant Secretary to the Treasury, acting under powers delegated to the Secretary to the Treasury by the Minister of Finance, hereby consents to the borrowing by the local authorities mentioned in the Schedule hereto of the whole or any part of the respective amounts specified in that Schedule.

Environmental Impact Report Notified—Stratford and Whirinaki Gas Turbine Power Stations
THE Commission for the Environment gives notice that it has received an environmental impact report on the construction of gas turbine power stations at Stratford and Whirinaki.
Representations in writing on the environmental aspects of this project, as it is explained in the report, will be received at the office of the Commission, P.O. Box 12-042, Wellington, until Friday, 10 May 1974.
Copies of the report may be obtained from the Commission for the Environment, 53 Murphy Street, Wellington, or from the district offices of New Zealand Electricity Department at Napier and Palmerston North.

Approval of Motor-Cycle Safety Helmets in Terms of Traffic Regulations 1956
Pursuant to clause (2) of regulation 29 of the Traffic Regulations 1956*, the Secretary for Transport hereby approves, for the purpose of the said regulations, motor-cycle safety helmets of the make and type described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE
SAFETY helmets manufactured by Thetford Moulded Products Ltd., England, and marked "Centurion X," to B.S. 2001 and bearing the certification mark of the British Standards Institution; "Centurion X 200 GT" and "Centurion X 550 GT," to B.S. 1869 and bearing the certification mark of the British Standards Institution.

Notice of Intention to Vary Hours of Sale of Liquor at Licensed Premises—Mataura Licensing Trust
Pursuant to section 34B of the Licensing Trust Act 1949, I, Eric Alderson Missen, Secretary for Justice, hereby give notice that the Mataura Licensing Trust passed the following resolution:
"That the hours proposed in the statutory advertisement, viz: Monday to Friday inclusive: 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday: Noon to 8 p.m.
be the operative hours of the Gorge Road Bottle Store."

Price Order No. 2266 (Californian Oranges Sold in the North Island of New Zealand)
Pursuant to the Control of Prices Act 1947, I, Maurice John Belgrave, pursuant to a delegation from the Secretary of Trade and Industry acting under a delegation from the Price Tribunal, hereby make the following price order:

  1. This order may be cited as Price Order No. 2266 and shall come into force on the 11th day of April 1974.
  2. (1) Price Order No. 2261* is hereby revoked.
    (2) The revocation of the said order shall not affect the liability of any person for any offence in relation thereto committed before the coming into force of this order.
  3. References in this order to metropolitan areas are references to the metropolitan areas described in the Schedule hereto.
    APPLICATION OF THIS ORDER
  4. This order applies with respect to all Californian oranges sold by way of retail in the North Island of New Zealand.
    MAXIMUM RETAIL PRICES OF CALIFORNIAN ORANGES
  5. (1) The maximum price that may be charged or received by any retailer for Californian oranges to which this order applies shall be:
    (a) When sold by a retailer carrying on business in any of the metropolitan areas of Auckland or Wellington, or in any of the Cities or Boroughs of Whangarei, Takapuna, Hamilton, Tauranga, Rotorua, Gisborne, New Plymouth, Stratford, Hawera, Wanganui, Palmerston North, Napier, Hastings, or Masterton—22 cents per lb.
