Pursuant to section 5 (2) of the Historic Places Act 1954,
His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council, and on
the recommendation of the Minister of Internal Affairs, hereby
appoints
Dr Richard Kenneth Dell
(nominated by the Royal Society of New Zealand)
to be a member of the New Zealand Historic Places Trust
for a term of office expiring on 31 March 1977.

Constitution of the Whangarei City Hydatids Control District

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 18th day of March 1974
Present:
THE HON. H. WATT PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to the Hydatids Act 1968, His Excellency the
Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council hereby makes the following order.
ORDER

  1. (1) This order may be cited as the Whangarei City Hydatids
    Control District Order 1974.
    (2) This order shall come into force on the day after the
    date of its notification in the Gazette.
  2. The area comprising the city of Whangarei as from time
    to time constituted is hereby declared to be an hydatids control
    district to be called the Whangarei City Hydatids Control
    District.
  3. The Whangarei City Corporation is hereby appointed the
    hydatids control authority for the Whangarei City Hydatids
    Control District.

Pursuant to the Hydatids Act 1968, His Excellency the
Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council hereby makes the following order.
ORDER

  1. (1) This order may be cited as the Marlborough Hydatids
    Control District Order 1974.
    (2) This order shall come into force on the day after
    the date of its notification in the Gazette.
  2. The areas comprising the Counties of Marlborough and
    Awatere and the Boroughs of Blenheim and Picton as from
    time to time constituted are hereby declared to be united
    to form an hydatids control district to be called the
    Marlborough Hydatids Control District.
  3. The Marlborough County Council is hereby appointed
    the hydatids control authority for the Marlborough Hydatids
    Control District.

Authorising the Gisborne City Council to Reclaim Crown
Land at Waikanae Creek

Pursuant to section 175 (3) of the Harbours Act 1950, His
Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises
the Gisborne City Council to reclaim from the bed of the
Waikanae Creek an area of 1 acre 1 rood 32 perches, more or
less, of Crown land as shown on plan M.D. 15175 deposited
in the office of the Ministry of Transport at Wellington.

Vesting Reclaimed Land in the Borough of Otahuhu

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 25th day of February 1974
Present:
THE HON. H. WATT PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to section 175B (2) of the Harbours Act 1950, His
Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby vests in
the Otahuhu Borough Council the land described in the
Schedule hereto, which land was authorised for reclamation
by an Order in Council of 2 December 1959, such land to be
vested pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953.
SCHEDULE
All that piece of reclaimed Crown land in the Tamaki River
situated in Section 63, Block VI, Otahuhu Survey District,
containing 5 acres (2.0234 hectares) as shown edged red on
plan S.O. 48013.
The District Land Registrar is hereby authorised to make
such entries in his register as are necessary to give effect to
this Order.

Members of National Parks Authority Appointed

Pursuant to subsection (1), (f), (g), (h), and (i) of
section 4 of the National Parks Act 1952, the under-
mentioned persons are hereby appointed to be members of
the National Parks Authority for a term of three years
from 1 April 1974.
Charles Alexander Fleming (on the recommendation of
the Royal Society of New Zealand);
David George Medway (on the recommendation of the
Executive of the Royal Forest and Bird Protection Society
of New Zealand, Incorporated);
Allan Priestley Thomson (on the recommendation of the
Dominion Executive of the Federated Mountain Clubs
of New Zealand, Incorporated);
John William Rolleston to represent the National Park
Boards constituted under the aforesaid Act; and
David Alan Thom to represent the National Park Boards
constituted under the aforesaid Act.
Dated at Wellington this 1st day of April 1974.
