The Rev. George Robert Bellingham (Baptist) is
appointed to a commission in the rank of Chaplain 4th Class,
with seniority from 16 July 1971, and is posted to the
Southern Region Chaplains' Pool with effect from 7 December 1973.
The Rev. Tikituterangi Raumati (Church of England)
is appointed to a commission in the rank of Chaplain
4th Class, with seniority from 26 January 1973 and is
posted to the Northern Region Chaplains' Pool, with effect
from 26 January 1973.
The Rev. Godfrey Carruthers Nicholson (Church of
England) is appointed to a commission in the rank of
Chaplain 4th Class, with seniority from 2 March 1972,
and is posted to the Southern Region Chaplains' Pool,
with effect from 7 December 1973.

ROYAL N.Z. ARMY PROVOST CORPS

1st Infantry Brigade Group Provost Unit, RNZ Pro.
Lieutenant Hedley Gordon Evans is transferred to the
Reserve of Officers, Regimental List, 1st Infantry Brigade
Group Provost Unit, RNZ Pro., in his present rank and
seniority with effect from 29 January 1974.

ROYAL N.Z. NURSING CORPS

Matron V. Ellen, DIP.N., to be Principal Matron with
seniority and effect from 1 August 1973.
Charge Sister E. J. Jollands to be Matron with seniority
and effect from 19 January 1974.
Janice Maxine Bunker: with reference to the notice
published in the Gazette, 17 December 1973, No. 119,
p. 2720, for the words "with seniority and effect from 30
July 1970", substitute "with seniority from 30 July 1970 and
effect from 30 July 1973.
Staff Nurse Geraldine Hollis, S.R.N., resigns her com-
mission with effect from 1 December 1973.
Staff Nurse Shona Margaret MacLean resigns her com-
mission with effect from 31 December 1973.
Elizabeth Jill Penny is appointed to a commission in the
rank of sister, with seniority from 13 December 1972 and
effect from 13 December 1973, for duty with the
2nd General Hospital, RNZAMC.

Appointment of Additional Judge of the Court of Appeal
Pursuant to section 58 (1) of the Judicature Act 1908,
His Excellency the Governor-General of New Zealand has
been pleased to appoint
the Honourable Alec Leslie Haslam, a Judge
of the Supreme Court of New Zealand,
to hold office as an additional Judge of the Court of Appeal
for a period from the 1st day of April 1974 to the 30th day
of June 1974, both days inclusive.

Appointing a Member of the Taranaki Catchment Commission
Pursuant to subsection (1) of section 14 of the Water and
Soil Conservation Act 1967, and paragraph (b) of sub-
section (5) of section 13 of the Soil Conservation and
Rivers Control Act 1941, the Soil Conservation and Rivers
Control Council hereby appoints the person for the time
being holding the office in the public service of Farm
Advisory Officer, Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, New
Plymouth, to succeed the person for the time being holding
the office in the public service of Fields Superintendent,
Department of Agriculture and Fisheries, Palmerston North,

Notice of Intention to Take Land in the City of Auckland,
for State Housing Purposes
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the
provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take for State
housing purposes the land described in the Schedule hereto,
such land to be used in conjunction with adjoining land
for State housing purposes; and notice is hereby further
given that the plan of the land so required to be taken
is deposited in the post office at Avondale and is there
open for inspection; that all persons directly affected by
the taking of the said land should, if they have any objection
to the taking of the said land, not being an objection to
the amount or payment of compensation, make a written
objection and send it within 40 days after the first publica-
tion of this notice, to the Town and Country Planning
Appeal Board at Wellington; and that, if any objection
is made in accordance with this notice, a public hearing
of the objection will be held unless the objector otherwise
requires and each objector will be advised of the time and
place of the hearing.
