Reservation of Land and Appointment of the Ashburton
County Council to Control and Manage a Reserve

PURSUANT to the Land Act 1948, the Minister of Lands hereby
sets apart the land described in the Schedule hereto as a
reserve for a site for a medical centre and further, pursuant
to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, appoints the
Ashburton County Council to control and manage the reserve
subject to the provisions of the said Act, as a reserve for
a site for a medical centre.

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT—ASHBURTON COUNTY
LOT 1, D.P. 6259, situated in Block XIII, Rakaia Survey
District: area, 4046 square metres, more or less.

Appointment of Minister of Internal Affairs to Control and
Manage a Reserve

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the
Minister of Lands hereby appoints the Minister of Internal
Affairs to control and manage the reserve described in the
Schedules hereto subject to the provisions of the said Act,
as a reserve for wildlife management purposes.

FIRST SCHEDULE

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT
ALL that area in the Otago Land District, Clutha County,
containing 190 hectares, more or less, bounded by a line
commencing at the intersection of a right line bearing
45 degrees from Trig Station V, Block XI, Town of Molyneux,
with the sea coast and proceeding south-west along that
right line to the north-eastern side of Otanomomo-Kaka
Point Road; thence north-westerly along the north-eastern
side of that road to the southernmost corner of a water-
course connecting a small lagoon with the Puerua River;
thence northerly to, and north-easterly and northerly along
the eastern bank of that watercourse, to and along the right
bank of the Puerua River to the western side of the main
southern outlet common to the Puerua River and the Koau
Branch of the Clutha River; thence south-easterly along the
western bank of that outlet to the sea coast; thence south-
westerly along the sea coast to the point of commencement.
As shown on the plan marked L. and S. 4/426/1/11 deposited
in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey at
Wellington and thereon edged red.

SECOND SCHEDULE

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT
ALL that area of foreshore as defined in the Harbours Act
1950, which immediately abuts the land described in the
First Schedule hereto.

Appointment of the Minister of Internal Affairs to Control

and the Wildlife Act 1953, as a wildlife management reserve.

Open Season for Game in Acclimatisation Districts—North Island

This notice applies only to the open season for game in those
acclimatisation districts which fall within the North Island.
PURSUANT to the Wildlife Act 1953, the Minister of Internal Affairs
declares an open season for game, in the acclimatisation districts,
and subject to the conditions, specified in the Second Schedule
hereto, excepting the closed game areas published in the Gazette of
25 March 1970, and subject to any amendments in any subsequent
Gazette notice, and in this notice. The attention of sportsmen and
others is drawn to the daily game possession limits set forth in the
First Schedule hereto and to the provisions of the Wildlife Act 1953
and the Wildlife Regulations 1955.
