New Zealand - Australia Free Trade Agreement

Pursuant to Article 3 of the New Zealand - Australia Free Trade Agreement Act 1965, the products listed in the First Schedule were included in the nomination list for the Sixth Review of Schedule A, notified in New Zealand Gazette, No. 100 of 16 December 1971.

It has been decided to revise the description of the products listed in the First Schedule and that nomination is now withdrawn.

The new nomination as set out in the Second Schedule is made in its place. The description in the Second Schedule is wider than that in the First Schedule in that:

(a) It refers to the products being “moulding or otherwise” which did not appear in the description in the First Schedule.
(b) It does not require the products to be “stained and polished” as did the description in the First Schedule.

Prior to formal inclusion in Schedule A, interested persons or firms are invited to make representations in support of or against the substituted nomination. Such representations should be forwarded to the Secretary, Tariff and Development Board, P.O. Box 27–046, Wellington, not later than 14 June 1974.
