HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to the Agricultural and Pastoral Societies Act 1908,
His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby
makes the following order.
ORDER
-
(1) This order may be cited as the Change of Name
of The Whakatane Agricultural, Pastoral, and Winter Show
Association (Incorporated).
(2) This order shall come into force on the day after the
date of its notification in the Gazette. -
The name of the society which was incorporated under
the Agricultural and Pastoral Societies Act 1908, as the
Whakatane Agricultural, Pastoral and Winter Show Associa-
tion is hereby changed to the Whakatane Agricultural and
Pastoral Association (Incorporated).

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to the Agricultural Pests Destruction Act 1967,
His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby
makes the following order.
ORDER
-
(1) This order may be cited as the Union of Central
Hawke's Bay, Southern Hawke's Bay, Pahiatua, and Akitio
Pest Destruction Order 1974.
(2) This order shall come into force on the 1st day of
April 1974. -
The boundaries of the Central Hawke's Bay Pest Destruc-
tion District (which was constituted by Order in Council
on the 26th day of March 1945*), the Southern Hawke's
Bay Pest Destruction District (which was constituted by Order
in Council on the 8th day of November 1939+), the Pahiatua
Pest Destruction District (which was constituted by Order
in Council on the 13th day of March 1936†), and the Akitio
Pest Destruction District (which was constituted by Order
in Council on the 27th day of October 1948§), are hereby
declared united to form one district to be known as the
Southern Hawke's Bay Pest Destruction District. The
boundaries of which shall be those specified in the Schedule
hereto, and it is hereby further declared that the basis on
which the board for the said district shall first levy its
general rate shall be the acreage of the land occupied by the
ratepayer.
SCHEDULE
BOUNDARIES OF SOUTHERN HAWKE'S BAY PEST DESTRUCTION
DISTRICT
The boundaries of the Southern Hawke's Bay Pest Destruction
District shall be that area of land contained in the following
districts:

Approving the Substitution of Certain Bylaws of the
Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy

THE HON. W. W. FREER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to paragraph 15 of the Royal Charter granted
to the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy
(Incorporated) (hereinafter referred to as the Institute) by
Her Majesty the Queen at Westminster on the 16th day
of September 1955, His Excellency the Governor-General,
acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council, hereby approves the substitution of bylaws 30 and
34 of the Institute by new bylaws by resolution of an
extraordinary general meeting held at Melbourne in the State
of Victoria in Australia on the 26th day of October 1972.

Appointment to the Rules Committee
Pursuant to section 2 of the Judicature Amendment Act
1930, as amended by section 2 of the Judicature Amendment
Act (No. 2) 1968, the Chief Justice of New Zealand has
appointed
The Honourable John Nigel Wilson, and
The Honourable David Stuart Beattie, both Judges of the
Supreme Court
to be members of the Rules Committee for a term of 3 years
commencing on the 1st day of January 1974.

Pursuant to section 4 of the State Advances Corporation

Advances Corporation of New Zealand with effect from the
1st day of December 1973.
