Pursuant to section 32 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works and Development hereby declares that, a sufficient agreement to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for road from and after the 28th day of February 1974.

(b) Stops the said road.

Validating Proceedings in Connection with the Waimairi County Council's Loan of $23,000

Whereas the Waimairi County Council has commenced proceedings for raising a loan of $23,000 to be known as the "Church Corner Parking Area Loan 1973":

And whereas the said Council has prepared a special roll in respect of the part of its district which is to receive the benefit of the said loan:

And whereas the said Council has obtained the written consent of a majority of the ratepayers in the said part of the district to the raising of the said loan:

And whereas the said proceedings are irregular or defective in that, contrary to regulation 7 of the Local Authorities Loans Regulations 1957, the said Council made application to the Local Authorities Loans Board for sanction to the said loan before the special roll had been authenticated:

And whereas the said proceedings are also irregular or defective in that, contrary to section 12 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the said Council obtained the consent of a majority of the ratepayers in the said part of the district to the raising of the said loan before the Local Authorities Loans Board notified the said Council of its sanction to the said loan:

And whereas it appears that the ratepayers have not been misled by the said irregularities or defects and it is expedient to validate the same:

Now, therefore, pursuant to section 130 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 (as amended by section 15 of the Local Authorities Loans Amendment Act 1971), the Minister of Finance hereby declares that the proceedings in connection with the raising of the said loan shall be valid to all intents and purposes as though the said application to the Local Authorities Loans Board had been made after the said special roll had been authenticated, and as though the written consent of a majority of the ratepayers in the said part of the district to the raising of the said loan had been obtained after the Local Authorities Loans Board notified the said Council of its sanction to the said loan.

Cancellation of the Vesting in the Rodney County Council and Revocation of the Reservation Over a Reserve
