At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 18th day of
February 1974
Present:
THE HON. H. WATT PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Local Government Commission Act 1967
His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes
the following order.
ORDER

This order shall come into force on 1 April 1974.
-
The area described in the Schedule hereto shall be
excluded from the district of Waitaki County and included in
the district of Oamaru Borough.
SCHEDULE
ALL that area containing 12.79 hectares, more or less, in the
Otago Land District, Waitaki County bounded by a line
commencing at the westernmost corner of the Borough of
Oamaru being the south-western corner of Lot 9, D.P. 9520;
thence along a right line across Weston Road to the northern-
most corner of Lot 2, D.P. 5989; thence generally southerly
along the western boundary of the said Lot 2 and its pro-
duction across No. 1 State Highway to the northernmost corner
of Lot 1, D.P. 5989; thence generally easterly along the
southern side of the said highway to the western boundary of
Lot 1, D.P. 1682; thence southerly along that boundary and the
western boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 5893; to the south-western
corner of Lot 1, D.P. 5893; thence generally easterly, north-
easterly and northerly along the southern, south-eastern and
eastern boundaries of the said Lot 1 to No. 1 State Highway;
thence by production of the eastern boundary of Lot 1, D.P.
5893; across the said highway to the northern side; thence
generally westerly along the northern side of the said highway
to Weston Road; thence generally north-westerly along the
north-eastern side of the said road to the point of commence-
ment.

Warrant Appointing a Member of the Accident Compensation
Commission under the Accident Compensation Act 1972

PURSUANT to section 6 of the Accident Compensation Act
1972, I, Sir Edward Denis Blundell, the Governor-General of
New Zealand, hereby appoint
Lindsay Marquis Graham
of Wellington, to be a member of the Accident Compensation
Commission for a term expiring on the 19th day of December
1975.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General this 5th day of February 1974.

tions, and Retirements of Officers of the Royal New
Zealand Navy
PURSUANT to section 35 of the Defence Act 1971, His
Excellency the Governor-General has approved the following
appointments, promotions, extensions, transfers, resignations,
and retirements of officers of the New Zealand Naval Forces:
ROYAL NEW ZEALAND NAVY
Commander D. B. Domett to be temporary Captain with
effect from 4 January 1974.
Commander Peter Keith Laker, C.ENG., M.I.E.R.E., is placed
on the Retired List with effect from 4 January 1974.
Lieutenant Commander John Murray Beauchamp is placed
on the Retired List with effect from 15 January 1974.
Lieutenant Commander (temp. Commander) C. J. Carl
to be Commander with seniority and effect from 21 December
1973.
Lieutenant Commander K. A. Pearcey, C.ENG., M.I.MAR.E.,
A.N.Z.I.M., to be Commander with seniority and effect from
3 January 1974.
The appointment of Lieutenant Commander H. J. Ewens,
C.ENG., F.I.MAR.E., is extended to 9 May 1979.
Lieutenant (temp. Lieutenant Commander) J. K. Lowerson,
M.C.F.A., to be Lieutenant Commander with seniority and
effect from 23 December 1973.
Lieutenant L. A. Mangos to be Lieutenant Commander
with seniority and effect from 2 January 1974.
The appointment of Instructor Lieutenant Gary Speer,
M.SC. DIP.TCHG., is terminated with effect from 9 January
1974. He is transferred to the Emergency List of the RNZN.
