PURSUANT to section 35 of the Defence Act 1971, His Excellency the Governor-General has approved the following appointments, promotions, extensions, transfers, resignations, and retirements of officers of the Royal New Zealand Air Force:

Appointments

Squadron Leader I. W. Collins is appointed to a career commission, extended for a period to expire on 31 December 1980, with effect from 9 September 1974.

Flight Lieutenant I. M. St. J. Filsell is appointed to a career commission for a period to expire on 12 January 1985, with effect from 4 September 1974.

The following Officer Cadets are appointed to short service commissions for a period of 12 years in the rank of Acting Pilot Officer with effect from 27 September 1974, followed by 4 years on the Reserve of Air Force Officers:

Termination of Commission

The short service commission of Acting Pilot Officer Philip Martin Lloyd is terminated with effect from 3 September 1974.

Transfer to Reserve

Squadron Leader Ronald Chippindale is transferred to the Reserve of Air Force Officers until 26 March 1978, with effect from 30 September 1974.

Transfers to Reserve

Flight Lieutenant Douglas George Goodwin, B.E., is transferred to the Reserve of Air Force Officers, for a period to expire on 30 August 1978 with effect from 3 September 1974.

Flight Lieutenant (temp. Squadron Leader) Murray Barber is transferred to the Reserve of Air Force Officers in the rank of Flight Lieutenant for a period of 4 years, with effect from 24 September 1974.
