Declaring Land Taken for a Government Work (Railway Purposes) at Hornby

PURSUANT to section 32 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Railways hereby declares that, a sufficient agreement to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the Schedules hereto is hereby taken, subject to Proclamation 853912, for the purposes of the railway on and after the 2nd day of December 1974.

Declaring Land Purchased for a Government Work (Railway Purposes) at Cobden and Not Now Required for That Purpose to be Crown Land

PURSUANT to section 35 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Railways hereby declares the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land subject to the Land Act 1948 as from the 2nd day of December 1974.

PURSUANT to section 25 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Railways hereby declares the land described in the Schedule hereto to be set apart for railway purposes on and after the 9th day of December 1974.

SCHEDULE

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT—BRUCE COUNTY

ALL that piece of land described as follows:

Reserving, nevertheless, unto the Crown, firstly, in terms of section 168A of the Coal Mines Act 1925, all coal existing in its natural condition on or under the surface of the said land and, secondly, in terms of section 8 of the Mining Act 1971, every mineral existing in its natural condition on or under the surface of the said land.

As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 26909 (S.O. 17470) deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington and thereon coloured blue.

Setting Apart Maori Freehold Land as a Maori Reservation

PURSUANT to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto, is hereby set apart as a Maori Reservation for the purpose of a burial ground for the common use and benefit of the Ngati Ngutu Hapu.
