Pursuant to section 25 of the Public Works Act 1928, the
Minister of Railways hereby declares that the land described
in the First Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for railway
purposes, subject to Easement Certificate S. 547213, and that
the land described in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby
set apart for railway purposes, subject to Easement Certificate
No. 17A/1091, and that the land described in the Third
Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for railway purposes on
and after the 11th day of November 1974.

Pursuant to the Electricity Act 1968, the Minister of
Electricity hereby amends the Central Canterbury Electric
Power Board Electric Lines Licence 1965, as amended by
the Central Canterbury Electric Power Board Electric Lines
Licence 1965, Amendment No. 1 (Gazette, 2 July 1970,
p. 1149), and the Central Canterbury Electric Power Board
Electric Lines Licence 1965, Amendment No. 2 (Gazette,
20 September 1973, p. 1797), (a) by adding to the First
Schedule thereto the heading “Lines Authorised” and the
following paragraphs:
“(1) A line commencing from an unnamed road on the
northern boundary of the board’s area of supply and proceeding
in a northerly direction to Section 7971, Green Island,
Block V, Christchurch Survey District, and a line (hereinafter referred to as “the said line”) proceeding in a northerly
direction from the said unnamed road to Section 37373, and
a line from the said line proceeding in an easterly direction
to Section 25881, Green Island, Block VIII, Rolleston Survey
District, such lines being more particularly shown on the
plan marked N.Z.E.D. 661 deposited in the office of the
New Zealand Electricity Department at Wellington.
“(2) A line commencing from a point on the north-eastern
side of Halswell Junction Road crossing the said road in
a generally south-westerly direction, all being situated in
Block XIV, Christchurch Survey District, the said line being
more particularly shown by a red line on the plan marked
N.Z.E.D. 882 deposited in the office of the New Zealand
Electricity Department at Wellington.
“(3) A line commencing from a point in D.P. 14738, Part
I, and proceeding in a northerly direction for approximately
342 metres, all being situated in Block V, Christchurch Survey
District, and the said line being more particularly shown as
a red line on the plan marked N.Z.E.D. 901 deposited in
the office of the New Zealand Electricity Department at
Wellington.
“(4) A line commencing from the line authorised in paragraph (1) hereof and proceeding in a north-westerly direction
for a distance of 100 metres in Section 7971, Block V, Christchurch Survey District, the said line being more particularly
shown on the plan marked N.Z.E.D. 908 deposited in the
office of the New Zealand Electricity Department at Wellington.”
(b) By consequentially revoking the Central Canterbury
Electric Power Board Electric Lines Licence 1965, Amendment No. 1 (Gazette, 2 July 1970, p. 1149) and the Central
Canterbury Electric Power Board Electric Lines Licence 1965,
Amendment No. 2 (Gazette, 20 September 1973, p. 1797).
