NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed. under the
provisions of the Public Works Act 1928. to execute a certain
public work, namely, the construction of a road and for the
purposes of that public work the portion of road described
in the Schedule hereto is required to be stopped. And
further notice is hereby given that a plan of the portion
of road required to be stopped is deposited in the office of
the Tauranga County Council, Barke's Corner, Cameron Road,
Tauranga, and is there open for inspection, that all persons
affected by the execution of the said public work or the
stopping of the said portion of road, should, if they have
any objections to the execution of the said public work
or the stopping of the said portion of road, not being
objections to the amount or payment of compensation, set
forth the same in writing and send the written objection
within 40 days of the first publication of this notice to the
Tauranga County Council at Tauranga, and that, if any
objection is made in accordance with this notice, a public
hearing will be held unless the objector otherwise requires
and each objector will be advised of the time and place
of the Council meeting at which the hearing will be held.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928, the Municipal
Corporations Act 1954, the Town and Country Planning
Act 1953, and their respective amendments:
NOTICE is hereby given that the Otaki Borough Council
proposes, under the provisions of the above-named Acts
and all other Acts, powers and authorities, and, in particular,
section 47 (1) of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953,
enabling it in that behalf to execute a certain public work,
namely the acquisition of land in its district, the Council
deeming it necessary or expedient to do so, for proper
development or use of the land in accordance with the
provisions of the Otaki Borough Council Operative District
Scheme and Code of Ordinances, and for the purpose of
that public work the land described in the Schedule hereto
is required to be taken and notice is hereby further given
that a plan of the land, which is required to be taken, is
deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk to the
said Council, in the Municipal Offices Building, Main Street,
Otaki, and is there open for inspection, without fee, by all
persons during ordinary office hours and that any person
affected by the execution of the said public work or the
taking of the said land should, if he has any objection to
the execution of the said public work, or to the taking of
the said land, not being an objection to the amount or payment
of compensation, send his written objection within
40 days from the first publication of this notice to the Otaki
Borough Council, addressed to the Town Clerk at his said
office, and notice is hereby further given that if any objection
is made, as aforesaid, a public hearing of that objection
will be held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and
each objector will be advised of the time and place of that
hearing, and at that hearing, each objector will be advised
of the reasons for the proposed taking.
SCHEDULE
ALL those parcels of land situate in the Lands Registration
District of Wellington containing:
First: 5 acres, more or less, being part Tutangatakino
No. 5 Block, and being all of the land comprised and
described in certificate of title, Volume 159, folio 128
(Wellington Registry).
Secondly: 19 acres and 19.4 perches, more or less,
situated in the Borough of Otaki, being parts of Waerenga
No. 5, Harurunui No. 1, Pahianui A No. 1, Te Tahuna
No. 1, Section 5 and Tutangatakino No. 5 and 9, and being
also part of Lot 5 on Deposited Plan No. 6595, and being
the balance of the land comprised and described in certificate
of title, Volume 561, folio 93 (Wellington Registry).
The said parcels of land are situated on the western
side of Aotaki Street and are bounded on the southern and
western sides by the Horowhenua County.
Dated at Otaki this 1st day of February 1974.

Act 1972, and in the matter of the Public Works Act 1928:
NOTICE is hereby given that the Wellington Regional Water
Board, duly constituted under the Wellington Regional
Water Board Act 1972, proposes under the provisions of
the above-named Acts and of all other Acts, powers and
authorities enabling it in that behalf to execute public works,
namely water supply, afforestation and passive recreation,
and for the general purposes of those public works the lands
described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken
and notice is hereby further given, that a plan of the lands
which are required to be taken (S.O. Plan 27712) is deposited
at the offices of the Wellington Regional Water Board,
Second Floor, Commercial Union Building, corner High
Street and Margaret Street, Lower Hutt, and is there open
for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary
office hours, and that any person affected by the execution
of the said public work or by the taking of the said lands
should, if he has any objection to the execution of the
said public work or to the taking of the said lands (not
being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation),
send his written objection within 40 days from the
first publication of this notice to the Town and Country
Planning Appeal Board, P.O. Box 12-244, Wellington North,
and notice is hereby further given that, if any objection is
made as aforesaid a public hearing of the objection will be
held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and that each
objector will be advised of the time and place of the
hearing, and at that hearing each objector will be advised
of the reasons for the proposed taking.
