Pursuant to section 447 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Maori Trustee hereby gives notice that a list of missing persons has been filed at all the district offices of the Maori and Island Affairs Department at

and at all sub-offices of the Department, where the same may be inspected during office hours without payment of a fee.

THE ROAD CLASSIFICATION (MANUKAU CITY), NOTICE NO. 1, 1974

Pursuant to regulation 3 of the Heavy Motor Vehicle Regulations 1969* the Secretary for Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Road Classification (Manukau City) Notice No. 1, 1974.

  2. The Manukau City Council's proposed classification of the roads as set out in the Schedule hereto is hereby approved.

  3. So much of the notice dated the 2nd day of August 1967† which relates to the classification of the roads described in the Schedule hereto is hereby revoked.

SPECIAL ORDER

IN exercise of and pursuant to the powers conferred on it by section 23 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and any amendments thereto, the Council of the City of Christchurch at this special meeting thereof, notice of intention to consider the subject matter hereof having been given to all members of the Council before the meeting, in accordance with the rules of procedure of the Council, hereby resolves by special order to be gazetted to rename the ward known as the "Avon Ward" to the "Pegasus Ward" for purposes of representation only.

In witness whereof the Common Seal of the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Christchurch was hereto affixed in accordance with the special order made in that behalf of the said council on the 18th day of December 1973, in the presence of:

Notice of Final Decision of New Zealand Geographic Board re Assigning of Place Names

WHEREAS, pursuant to section 12 of the New Zealand Geographic Board Act 1946, notice was given on the 30th day of August 1972 of the intention of the New Zealand Geographic Board to assign the names set out in the Schedule attached to the said notice; and whereas, pursuant to section 13 of the said Act, no objections have been received to such of the proposed names as are set out in the First Schedule hereto:

Now, therefore, pursuant to sections 14 and 15 of the said Act, notice is hereby given that the names set out in the First Schedule hereto are final decisions of the Board and that such decisions will take effect on the 28th day of February 1974.

Plans showing the location of the features may be inspected at the office of the Chief Surveyor for the Department, or at the office of the Secretary of the Board.
