Pursuant to section 35 of the Public Works Act 1928, the
Minister of Railways hereby declares the land described in the
Schedule hereto, to be Crown land, subject to the Land Act
1948, as from the 11th day of February 1974.

The South Canterbury Electric Power Board Electricity Supply Licence 1970, Amendment No. 1
Pursuant to the Electricity Act 1968, the Minister of
Electricity hereby amends the South Canterbury Electric
Power Board Electricity Supply Licence 1970* by adding
to the First Schedule thereto the following.
"But including all that area of one mile square situate
in Block XVI, Gladstone Survey District, having one side
along the boundary line between Mackenzie County and
Waimate County, one side at right angles to this line and
passing through Trig. T (2732') and the other two sides
parallel to the other two sides, each side being one mile
in length; the said area being more particularly outlined
in green on the plan marked N.Z.E.D. 891, deposited in
the office of the New Zealand Electricity Department at
Wellington."

Setting Apart Maori Freehold Land as a Maori Reservation
Pursuant to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953,
the Maori freehold land, described in the Schedule hereto,
is hereby set apart as a Maori reservation for the purpose
of a marae, meeting place, and burial ground for the common
use and benefit of Ngati Uenukukopako and Ngati
Rangiteaorere sub-tribes of the Arawa tribe.

Cancelling the Reservation of Maori Freehold Land
Notice is hereby given pursuant to section 439 (5) (b) of
the Maori Affairs Act 1953 that the reservation of Maori
freehold land, described in the Schedule hereto, and set
apart for the purpose of a marae for the common use
and benefit of the Ngati Uenukukopako and Ngati
Rangiteaorere sub-tribes of the Arawa tribe, made by Order
in Council on 23 September 1963 and published in the
Gazette on 3 October 1963, No. 59, page 1527, is hereby
cancelled.
