The Post Office Bonus Bonds Interest Notice 1974

Pursuant to subsection (12) of section 129A of the Post Office Act 1959, the Minister of Finance hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. Title and Commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the Post Office Bonus Bonds Interest Notice 1974.
    (2) This notice shall come into force on the 1st day of November 1974.

  2. Rate of interest applicable to bonus bonds—Interest shall be computed, in respect of each unit (within the meaning of subsection (2) of the said section 129A) of each bonus bond purchased, at the rate of 4½ percent per annum, commencing with the first day of the calendar month immediately after the month of purchase and ending with the last day of the calendar month immediately before the month in which the unit (within the meaning aforesaid) is repaid.

  3. Revocation—The Post Office Bonus Bonds Interest Notice 1970* is hereby revoked.

Pursuant to section 25 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works and Development hereby declares the land described in the Schedule hereto to be set apart for road from and after the 31st day of October 1974.

HAWKE’S BAY LAND DISTRICT

All that piece of land containing 33.6 perches (849 square metres) situated in Block IX, Maungaharuru Survey District, and being part Rural Section 30, Taupo Road; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.O.W. 27252 (S.O. 6153) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works and Development at Wellington and thereon coloured sepia.

Authorising a Secondary Use of Land in Block IV, Benmore Survey District, Waitaki County

Pursuant to section 37 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1948, the Minister of Works and Development hereby:
(a) Authorises the application of the land described in the Schedule hereto, being land held primarily for the development of water power (Benmore Power Scheme) to recreation purposes, which shall be a secondary use of the said land; and
(b) Specifies that Part III of the Reserves and Domains Act 1953 shall apply to the said land.

The control and management of the said land is hereby vested in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Waitaki.

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT

All that piece of land containing 2.8581 hectares, being Section 5, Block IV, Benmore Survey District, as shown on plan M.O.W. 28166 (S.O. 16769) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works and Development at Wellington and thereon edged red.

Land Proclaimed as Road and Road Closed and Vested in Block III, Wharekawa Survey District, Franklin County

Pursuant to section 29 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1948, the Minister of Works and Development hereby proclaims as road the land described in the First Schedule hereto, which land shall vest in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Franklin; and also proclaims that the road described in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby closed and shall, when so closed, vest in A. J. and F. M. Coster Limited subject to memorandum of mortgage A231542, North Auckland Land Registry.
