month balances at the Reserve Bank plus holdings of Reserve
Bank notes and of New Zealand Government securities
together equal to an amount which shall not be less than
the aggregate of:
50 percent of that bank's average demand deposit liabilities
in New Zealand in the immediately preceding calendar
month as shown by an average of the weekly returns
of banking statistics under the Statistics Act 1955, plus
20 percent of that bank's average time deposit liabilities in
New Zealand in the immediately preceding calendar
month as shown by an average of the weekly returns
of banking statistics under the Statistics Act 1955.
For the purposes of this notice:
(1) The monthly average of a trading bank's holdings
of Reserve Bank notes shall be the average of the
figures as shown by the weekly returns of banking
statistics under the Statistics Act 1955 for that bank
received in the calendar month to which the requirement
applies.
(2) The monthly average of a trading bank's balances at
the Reserve Bank and holdings of New Zealand
Government securities shall be the average of all
daily figures for that bank in the calendar month
to which the requirement applies.
(3) Government securities shall consist of Government
stock and Treasury bills (all at nominal value)
including advance subscriptions for stock lodged by
a trading bank with the Reserve Bank.
(4) Balances at the Reserve Bank shall include both
demand deposit balances and time deposit balances.

Unclaimed Property-Notice of Election by the Public Trustee
to Become Manager Under Part V of the Public Trust
Office Act 1957
WHEREAS William James Mudie Larnach, late of Dunedin
in New Zealand, formerly banker, but lately member of
Parliament, the owner of the property mentioned in the
Schedule hereto, is dead and the Public Trustee, having made
due inquiry, does not know of any agent or administrator
of the said William James Mudie Larnach in New Zealand
with authority to take possession of and administer the said
property; and whereas the gross value of the said property
(as estimated by the Public Trustee) does not exceed $4,000
and for the purposes of subsection (2) of section 80 of
the Public Trust Office Act 1957 the Public Trustee is satisfied
that it is advisable that he should become the manager of
the said property; now therefore the Public Trustee, in
exercise of the authority conferred upon him by the said
subsection (2) of section 80 of the said Act hereby elects
to be manager of the said property under Part V of the
said Act.
SCHEDULE
ALL that piece of land running from Renfrew Street to
Lancefield Street in the City of Dunedin containing
approximately 4 perches be the same, a little more or less,
being part of Section 59 of the town district of the Province
of Otago, the said land being more particularly known as
Seafield Street, and being the balance of the land comprised
and described in certificate of title, Volume 8, folio 165,
Otago Registry.

National Roads Board-Revocation of Traffic Bylaw-
Rangitikei River Bridge at Bulls on No. 1 State Highway
It is notified that the National Roads Board has revoked
National Roads Board Bylaw 1973 No. 1 made on 24 July
1973 and published in the Gazette of 26 July 1973, No. 71,
p. 1429.
The bylaw was revoked by resolution duly passed at a
meeting of the National Roads Board held in Wellington on
the 12th day of December 1973.

of the Ministry of Transport, in exercise of powers delegated

licence granted to Desmond Clive Reid and Ruth Edith
Reid on 14 October 1970 to use and occupy a part of the
bed of Henderson Creek, Te Atatu is hereby assigned to
Roy Powell Mann.

Magorian to Occupy a Site for a Jetty at the Taieri River
Pursuant to the Harbours Act 1950, I, Peter Edward Muers,
of the Ministry of Transport, acting under a delegation
authorised by the Minister of Transport, hereby give notice
that the licence of 9 May 1973 authorising Grant Alexander
Magorian to use and occupy part of the foreshore and bed
of the Taieri River as a site for a jetty is hereby revoked.
