Naming of a Scenic Reserve and Appointment of the Taranaki
Reserves Board to Control and Manage the Reserve
PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the
Minister of Lands hereby declares that the scenic reserve
described in the Schedule hereto shall be known as the
Huthnance Scenic Reserve and further appoints the Taranaki
Reserves Board to control and manage the said reserve.
SCHEDULE
TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT—HUTHNANCE SCENIC RESERVE
LOT 1, D.P. 10827, being part Sections 774B and 900, Grey
District, situated in Block IX, Paritutu Survey District: area,
6422 square metres, more or less, and being part of the land
contained in certificates of title, Volume 122, folio 178 and
Volume 161, folio 187, Taranaki Registry.

1974 Open Season for Game in the Wellington Acclimatisation
District
PURSUANT to sections 15, 16, and 17 of the Wildlife Act
1953, the Minister of Internal Affairs declares an open season
for game of the kinds specified in the Second Schedule hereto,
and during the periods and shooting hours set forth in the
Second Schedule hereto, except in the closed game areas
published in the Gazette of 25 March 1970, and any sub-
sequent Gazette notice, and subject to the special conditions
published in this notice; and hereby calls the attention of
sportsmen and others to the daily game possession limits
set forth in the First Schedule hereto, and to the provisions
set forth or referred to in the Fourth Schedule of the Gazette
of 25 March 1970. Any person hunting or killing game
otherwise than in the terms of this notification (including
the special conditions specified) is liable on conviction to a
fine of $100.
FIRST SCHEDULE
DAILY GAME POSSESSION LIMIT
EXCEPT where all game is labelled with the following details:
(a) The name and address of the person by whom the game
was taken;
(b) The number of the licence to hunt or kill game held
by the person by whom the game was taken; and
(c) The date on which the game was taken.
No person shall have in his possession on any one day
game in excess of the following numbers:
Saturday, 9 February 1974: A number of game
corresponding to the number specified in this notification as the daily bag limit.
Sunday, 10 February 1974: Twice the number of game
specified for Saturday, 9 February 1974.
Every subsequent day: as for Saturday, 9 February 1974.
SECOND SCHEDULE
WELLINGTON ACCLIMATISATION DISTRICT
REFERENCE to description: Gazette, No. 70, of 5 November
1964, at page 2013.
Game that may be hunted or killed—Grey and mallard
duck.
Duration of season: 9 February 1974 to 17 February
1974.
Daily bag limits—Grey duck, 15. Mallard duck, 15.
Grey, and mallard duck, 15 in all.
Shooting hours: 4.30 a.m. to 8.00 a.m. and 5.00 p.m. to
8.30 p.m.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
- A licence issued pursuant to this notification shall only
entitle the holder thereof to hunt or kill game over crops
other than grass. - No person shall hunt or kill game over any water or
within 100 metres of the margin of any water whether
natural or artificially formed.

The Traffic (Hauraki Plains County) Notice No. 1, 1973
PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Trans-
port hereby gives the following notice.
NOTICE
- This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Hauraki Plains
County) Notice No. 1, 1973. - The roads specified in the First Schedule hereto are
hereby declared to be closely populated localities for the
purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962. - The road specified in the Second Schedule hereto is
hereby declared to be a 40-miles-an-hour speed limit area
for the purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations
1956*. - The road specified in the Third Schedule hereto is hereby
declared to be a limited speed zone for the purposes of
regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956*. - The Traffic notice dated the 22nd day of December
1964 under sections 36 and 52 of the Transport Act 1962
and regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956†, which
relates to the closely populated locality and limited speed
zone at Ngatea in Hauraki Plains County, is hereby revoked.
FIRST SCHEDULE
SITUATED within Hauraki Plains County at Ngatea:
No. 2 State Highway (Pokeno-Wellington via Gisborne)
(from the Piako River Bridge to a point 160 metres measured
westerly generally along the said State highway from Pipiroa
Road). Ngatea-Kaihere Road (from the No. 2 State Highway
(Pokeno-Wellington via Gisborne) to a point 320 metres
measured south-easterly generally along the said road from
the said highway). Pipiroa Road (from No. 2 State Highway
(Pokeno-Wellington via Gisborne) to a point 280 metres
measured north-westerly generally along the said road from
the said highway). River Road (from the No. 2 State High-
way (Pokeno-Wellington via Gisborne) to a point 480 metres
measured northerly generally along the said road from the
said highway).
SECOND SCHEDULE
SITUATED within Hauraki Plains County at Ngatea:
No. 2 State Highway (Pokeno-Wellington via Gisborne)
(from a point 160 metres measured westerly generally along
the said State highway from Pipiroa Road to a point
640 metres measured westerly generally along the said high-
way from the said road).
THIRD SCHEDULE
SITUATED within Hauraki Plains County at Ngatea:
Pipiroa Road (from a point 280 metres measured north-
westerly generally along the said road from the No. 2 State
Highway (Pokeno-Wellington via Gisborne) to a point
1240 metres measured north-westerly generally along the said
road from the said highway).
