Notice of Approval of Bylaws

PURSUANT to sections 8A and 165 of the Harbours Act 1950, I, Peter Edward Muers, of the Ministry of Transport, in exercise of powers delegated by the Minister of Transport hereby approve the Manukau City Council Bylaw No. 8, 1967 (Foreshore and Marine Control) Amendment No. 4 made by the Manukau City Council by special order and passed by the Council at an ordinary meeting on 26 July 1973, and confirmed at a subsequent meeting of the Council on 30 August 1973.

Electrical Wiring Regulations 1961

PURSUANT to the provisions of regulation 18 (3) of the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1961, the following specifications are declared suitable for the purpose of the regulation.

Japanese Standards Association

JIS C 0903—1962: General rules for the construction of electrical apparatus for the explosive gas atmosphere (for general industries).

JIS C 0905—1966: Construction of electric power apparatus for use in explosive gas atmosphere (for general industries).

Bylaw Fixing the Maximum Speed of Vehicles on No. 80 State Highway (Pukaki-Hermitage) From 4 Chains East of Glencoe Bridge to the Hermitage

PURSUANT to section 13 of the National Roads Act 1953 and section 72 of the Transport Act 1962, the National Roads Board makes the following bylaw.

B Y L A W

  1. This bylaw may be cited as the National Roads Board Bylaw 1973, No. 2.

  2. This bylaw shall come into force on the day after the date of its publication in the Gazette.

  3. In this bylaw “vehicle” has the meaning assigned to it in the Transport Act 1962.

  4. No person shall drive or take or permit to be driven or taken any vehicle at a speed exceeding 20 miles per hour upon or over No. 80 State Highway (Pukaki-Hermitage) commencing from a point 4 chains east of the Glencoe Bridge and extending generally towards the Hermitage for a total distance of 28 chains.

This bylaw was made by resolution duly passed at a meeting of the National Roads Board held in Wellington on the 17th day of October 1973.

Varying Notice of State Highways

PURSUANT to section 11 of the National Roads Act 1953, the National Roads Board, acting with the written approval of the Minister of Works, hereby gives notice that it varies the notice declaring public highways to be State highways, dated 9 March 1960, published in the Gazette, 24 March 1960, Vol. I, p. 384, by deleting from the Schedule to the said notice the paragraph described in the First Schedule hereto, and substituting therefor the paragraph set out in the Second Schedule hereto.


FIRST SCHEDULE

PARAGRAPH deleted from South Island section of Part II of the Schedule to the said notice:

Green Island—No. 1 State Highway.


SECOND SCHEDULE

PARAGRAPH substituted in the South Island section of Part II of the Schedule to the said notice:

Green Island—No. 1 State Highway (from the east boundary of the borough to the west boundary of the borough via Main South Road, the Dunedin Southern Motorway, Westland Street, Abbotsford Road, and Main South Road).

(a) The quality, range, supply, etc., of the above-described goods produced in New Zealand; and

(b) The landed cost and selling price, including c.d.v., and cost into store in terms of f.o.b., insurance, freight, exchange, other landing charges, duty, etc., of equivalent goods of overseas origin.
