Setting Apart Land as a Maori Reservation
WHEREAS by Order in Council dated 7 May 1917, published
in New Zealand Gazette, No. 86 of 17 May 1917, the land
described in the First Schedule hereto was set apart as a
Maori reservation, and whereas it is now desired to extend
the size and scope of the said reservation as recommended
by the Maori Land Court; now therefore, pursuant to section
439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, notice is hereby given
as follows.
NOTICE
-
The reservation constituted by Order in Council published
in New Zealand Gazette, No. 86, of 17 May 1917, relating
to the land described in the First Schedule hereto is hereby
cancelled with effect from and including 12 April 1972. -
The whole of the land described in the Second Schedule
hereto is hereby set apart, with effect from and including
12 April 1972, as a Maori reservation for the purposes of
a meeting place, Church site, and burial ground for the
common use of the Maori people and for the people of
Tokomaru Bay generally.
FIRST SCHEDULE
GISBORNE LAND DISTRICT
ALL that piece of land situated in Block VIII, Tokomaru
Survey District, and described as follows:

(as shown in D.P. 2201, and being part of
C.T. 1A/534 (Gisborne Registry)).
SECOND SCHEDULE
GISBORNE LAND DISTRICT
ALL that piece of land situated in Block VIII, Tokomaru
Survey District, and described as follows:

Plants Declared Noxious Weeds Under the Noxious Weeds
Act 1950 in the County of Waimate (No. 584 Ag. 20649a)
PURSUANT to a delegation from the Minister of Agriculture and
Fisheries under the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries
Act 1953, for the purposes of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950,
the following special order, made by the Waimate County
Council on the 25th day of September 1973, is hereby
published:
SPECIAL ORDER
“THAT in pursuance of section 87 of the
Counties Act 1956, and section 3 of the Noxious Weeds
Act 1950, and amendments thereto, the Waimate County
Council hereby resolved by way of special order that the
following noxious weeds shall be noxious weeds within the
whole of the Waimate County.
Wild rice (Zizania aquatica)
Waterfern (Salvinia, all species).”

Special Order Made by Eltham County Council Altering
Riding Boundaries
PURSUANT to section 88 of the Counties Act 1956, the
Secretary for Local Government hereby publishes the following
special order made by Eltham County Council.

SPECIAL ORDER
IN exercise of the powers vested in it by section 23 and
section 88 of the Counties Act 1956, the Eltham County
Council hereby resolves by way of special order to make
the following boundary adjustments:
(a) To abolish the Omoana Riding of the County of
Eltham as described in the New Zealand Gazette,
Thursday, 30 January 1969, No. 4, p. 128.
(b) To add the area of the abolished Omoana Riding as
described above to the Eltham Riding of the County
of Eltham.
(c) Transfer from the Eltham Riding of the County of
Eltham to the South Riding of the County of Eltham
all that area of land bounded by a line commencing
at the intersection of the middle lines of the
Mangimangi Stream and Tirimoana Road on the
generally southern boundary of the Eltham County
and proceeding generally northerly by the eastern
boundary of the Eltham County and the middle of
the Ararata Stream to the intersection of the middle
of the Mangawhero Road; thence generally westerly
by the middle of the said Mangawhero Road to the
intersection of the middle of the Mangimangi Stream;
thence generally southerly by the middle of the said
Mangimangi Stream to the point of commencement.
(d) To define the boundary of the Eltham Riding of the
County of Eltham as “all that area in the Taranaki
Land District, County of Eltham bounded by a line
commencing at the intersection of the middle of the
Ararata Stream and the southern boundary of
Section 12, Block XV, Ngaere Survey District; thence
